Why open on a public holiday if you can't provide whats on ur menu. Both items I wanted to order was sold out with a limited menu. How can you order a meal to have a alcolohic drink when you have a limited menu n it sells out.

We were heading to Suncorp for the game.
Just happened to look across the road and saw this old colonial looking building that didn't seem to fit but did fit the neighbour and said we should eat here and not Caxton Street.
I'm so glad we did!! The moment we walked in, staff were really welcoming and served us really quickly.

I look forward to returning on a lazy Saturday arvo eats and drinks.

We recently had our wedding on their Platform level. Everything was so well organised, the space was perfect and Ashley did such a brilliant job coordinating every single detail right from the start. Our guests had a great time and especially loved the dinner service! Would definitely recommend their function space if you're looking for a rustic, almost moody space with a great location and amazing vibes!

We are beyond thrilled with our experience at The Transcontinental Hotel for our wedding reception! From start to finish, the team, led by Ash and Gabby, went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable.
Ash, our coordinator during the preparation phase, was an absolute gem. Her expertise, attention to detail, and constant communication kept us at ease throughout the planning process. She made sure we were always informed and involved, and her friendly demeanor made working with her a joy.
On the day of our reception, Gabby took the reins and orchestrated an evening that surpassed all our expectations. She not only ensured that everything ran smoothly but also went the extra mile to make sure we, and our guests, were having an incredible time. From making sure I had my favorite strawberries to checking in on everyone, Gabby's dedication and care were evident throughout the night.
The venue itself was stunning, and the staff's professionalism and commitment to excellence shone through every aspect of our event. We received countless compliments from our guests about the beautiful ambiance, delicious food, and impeccable service.
We cannot recommend The Transcontinental Hotel and its amazing team enough. Ash and Gabby, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding reception an absolute dream come true.

Was robbed there tonight. Put a reserved sign on my machine whislt winning, went to buy a drink forc minutes. CAME back machine cleaned out. All caught on camera, no response from staff ie Dave who instructed me to call the police myself. Makes you wonder who is involved. I GO here every 3 months when I attend the dentist in Herston . I was degraded by Dave, who offered absolutely no help. I'm taking it to court as I should be protected by the insurance of the premises...not according to Dave.. The lovely bar staff could not believe his dismissal of my sadness, I was so upset and scared. However , Dave said ..basically he didn't care. I'm a visitor from Sunshine Coast and can not believe the treatment. Please , things need to change and I want answers re TRANCONTINENTAL liability and disgusting treatment of me .

The food portion size is very generous here. Had the schnitzel with gravy on the lunch special board, which cost $20. There were two big pieces of crumbed chicken. This was served with lettuce (wish there were tomatoes and other ingredients added to make it more like a garden or greek salad) and some pub style thick chips. It was much too big for me to eat alone. I wish they made the portion size smaller and lowered the price. If I went there again, I would share a meal or opt for a entree. The softdrink from the bar must have been $4 approx, which I think is a bit excessive given it wasn’t from a can/bottle. Service was friendly and the food came out very quickly despite being in a large group. Would recommend the Trans Hotel if you want a place to eat out during your work lunch.

Really decent experience. It is a renovated pub in the center of Brisbane. Inside is rely nice and it is pretty central to alot of hotels. 🏢🏢🏢There is also a parking lots ($7 all night) just in the next street. 🚗
The food was delish & plentiful. 🥗🌯🍟🍔😍Probably the only thing I could comment was on the staff-she made a mistake and charged extra, then refunded too much, so had to take back some money. Apart from that-the evening itself was really nice!!!!

Our regular choice for dinner pre the footy at Lang Park. Service and food are great. Good range of beers on tap too. Highly recommend.

Nice pub to have lunch or afterwork drinks around the Roma train station, love the food and their "happy hours" !

I walked in, beautiful atmosphere straight up, lovely and warm. While being cooling. I went to the bar and was greeted by a lovely man and my service was relaxed yet professional and the drinks where fantastic and nice and cold. 5/5 loved it.

i lost $440 to your pokie machines. but your staff member Saul - Better Call Saul - made my night. his energetic and funny personality made this a wonderful atmosphere for me and my friends. He joked around with whilst still doing his job in a very mature, professional manner. serving customers with a smile. we left very happy. will definitely see you again soon saul!

I initially came for the drinks after work but now come back for the great service & friendly staff. Saul & Shareece make the place what it is & make you feel welcome & not just a number. Thank you both for giving the Trans the atmosphere it deserves.

I came here for a few beers and Aaron served me. I asked him for advice and where to find work and he was more than hsppy to help me.
He went above and beyond what was expected in a customer service role.
Aussie hospitality at it's Finest.

Had lunch here with a large table of colleagues. The app broke (didn’t take any of my details or send a confirmation) so I went up to the bar to order my food.
Two lots of my food came out- when I went to let staff know there was an error that occurred they still “had to bring my food to the table”
When they brought to the table the only thing I was offered was to take the food away I had steak… and also ordered 1 drink with each order.
The waitress was quite rude and said we don’t give refunds because it’s not our fault (I hadn’t said anything other than I don’t want to take it away, I had already said to not bring it to the table once I’d realised).
So there app glitching and me still wanting to eat with my colleagues is my fault.
The food was nice but not worth the bad service and lack of care for customers.
Will avoid organising work events there in the future, no care at all for customers just want to you to pay and go.

Great pub! Great location, great food! Would recommend the crispy chicken Maryland with chorizo and potatoes confites in duck fat, epic!

Great city venue close to public transport for casual afternoon drinks and a feed, function rooms for events, friendly staff. All the necessary ingredient for an awesome day or night out.

Food was delivered quickly, delicious meals that our group really enjoyed. The restaurant was quite noisy but that is hard to control. Our table of 6, No. 33 was a little too close to the table beside us. All in all a very nice place to meet and eat, Thanks.

Em in the gaming lounge is beyond amazing!!! She started our night with the best possible vibes. Her service and attitude is first class. 10/10 will return because of her.

Do yourself a favour and have your wedding reception at the Transcontinental!!!
Ash and her team go above and beyond, are so friendly and professional. Communication was perfect. They made our whole day just work out so well. The upstairs space is huge and a perfect blank canvas for you to add your style for your day.
We had 55 people at our reception and it was cosy but still even space for everyone to move around and most importantly dance!
Food was amazing, high quality and all our guests raved about it afterwards. Most importantly though, it was affordable and well worth every penny. You honestly won't regret having your reception here!

Don’t come for Happy Hour.
Don’t be enticed! A regularly priced basic $11 is only $10 during happy hour.
Perhaps they could call it sad hour :(

Come here regularly for lunch, haven’t been disappointed yet. Cheap lunch deals, good specials from time to time. Steak is usually my go to. Good atmosphere and decent range for drinks.

Brilliant food, atmosphere, service and location.
I was in a group on the way to Suncorp stadium for Friday night football.
The place was alive - lots of different groups enjoying end of the working week and or heading to the footy.

Birthdat dinner. Food great. Drinks flowed quickly. Even extremely polite when the restaurant was closing and they asked us to move to adjoining bar. Not our first time there, definitely won't be the last.

A bloody great pub had the brisket and it was probably the best pub feed I've ever had and I've had a lot of pub feeds and to top it off better beer on tap something I haven't been able to find. Great pub!

Aaron is the best bartender always friendly and makes a great mimosa. You should introduce a mimosa drinker of the year award and I would be motivated to drink more of them to win it, that’s my only constructive feedback. Cheers
