What an exceptional place to visit. The staff were super friendly, thanks to Maddi, Liam and the chefs for an all round great experience. Music fit the atmosphere and the energy was chill. Highly recommend Transit Tavern for a pit stop or even just a meal out!

Very tasty my daughter’s loved the steak, and the iced chocolate drink and the fries came with mushroom sauce tasted great and the wedges sweet chilli sauce and sour cream sauce.

This is the best feed we have had while on our OZ holiday.
Hubby and I shared a salad and ribs. OMG the best ribs we have had in ages, the meat was falling off the bone, just how it should, and I must say we got a good size portion of 🍖
We are staying in the Novatel just across the road. This pub restaurant is handy and more relaxed than the restaurant in the Hotel.
Staff are friendly here 🌞
It's Thursday night and its pretty quiet🤫
Bar man put on the league for us to watch.
This pub / bar is in the DFO shopping mall.
IT'S GOOD👌 and it close to the Brisbane Airport.

Stopped in to have some lunch whilst at DFO... what a great little spot to have lunch. The food was delicious, I'm weary of buying steak out unless I've had it before. But thought I'd try the steak sandwich, and I was not disappointed....yum.
Janita and Jack were very friendly ( nice not to have staff that I feel don't want to be there). The food came out pretty quickly and well presented. I will definitely be going back and recommend to anyone out that way! 😊

Stopped in for lunch while staying at Novotel Brisbane Airport next door, as it is just over the road. Staff are chatty, personable and friendly and gave recommendations for local beers, of which they had 4 on tap (Great North, BNP x2 and a XXXX). Venue not at all crowded on the Wednesaday at 2pm when we visitied, and we chose outside seating, a great place to people watch :) We ordered lunch and 2 beers, which came to about AUD57, a bit steep for what we got IMO. Beers were served immediately and were lovely and fresh and cold. We sat for 25 minutes waiting for our lunch though, making us wonder if restaurants time their service around how long it takes for the average client to drink 1 beer, so when the meal is served you can automatically offer another ... hmmm... ;) Pie, mash and peas were very good, although the peas was more of a garnish than an actual serve/vegetable. Calamari and chips was disappointingly pale and very heavy in oil and fried. Would visit again, but have something lighter on the menu.

Stop in for breakfast with the family had a big breakfast the food was amazing and great value. The staff were fantastic will highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the burgers. My beef burger was delicious and the chicken burger had very tender chicken pieces with Chinese spice. Both burgers would benefit from a larger portion of chips.
One of the waiting staff seemed rather on edge though I wouldn't want to judge. May have been after a long shift but still no excuse when it comes to be polite and receptive. 🙂
Prices were good and the seating was very comfortable and away from the business of the DFO food court.

Priced at the top end for equivalent venues. The salt shaker and the pepper mill were both empty and the chef didn’t know what “fried, over easy” meant.
The service was good.
Atmosphere gets 4 stars because it was early morning and nice and peaceful.

Nothing fancy but no complaints. Ordered a scooner of Balter IPA ($11.20) and Parma ($27). Some decent tunes, good vibe. Looks pretty basic and small (see pic) but salad was fantastic (fresh, tasty, nice dressing), Parma tasted good, fries ok.
Staff were friendly. Would come back if staying at the hotel and want a decent meal

Not a bad place to dine in for breakfast if you're at DFO. The food was good and there are plenty of seating. The service was a bit slow when I visited however it was around 8:30am. The food took roughly 25mins to arrive. My partner ordered the eggs on toast and I had the big breakfast! We got iced coffee and orange juice for beverages. My partner said the orange juice tasted watered down, however, the iced coffee was pretty good.

Never been before but would go again .My sister was down from Cairns staying on the Sunshine Coast and it was central for us to meet there as we live on the goldie. But food was good and found it ample and staff good also aloud my sisters little pup that had been at Vets to be there .The Fire truck was from Hendra parked nearby

Needed a quick lunch to return to the airport checkin. Staff totally accomodating to our requests. Nothing was a problem.
Meals were awesome and served promptly.
Would definitely return.

My first time eating here and I will definitely be back. Food was amazing and really good servings.I had the King Avo Chicken Snitty. The service was very friendly and attentive. I’ve already organised another dinner with friends because I was that happy.

My family and I had reunion here just before all our flights. We visited some families from Brisbane but we came from all the way from Florida, USA and also Western Australia.
The food was good, very tasty and we can't fault the food.
We were disappointed by the service.
First of all, we've never been here before. There we no sign on how we should order our meals. The lady with blonde hair showed us our table (we booked it in advanced), and there were menus in the table.
My partner had to ask the bar how to place our order.
Our orders came. My brother went to the counter and asked if they have Tabasco sauce (for his steak). The blonde lady responded yes. There was a pause. So my brother said, could he have some please. The lady said, do you want it now? My brother was shocked, so he said yes please.
No one came to our table to ask if meals were OK or if we needed anything.
It was just disappointing the service was not nice, the lady wasn't smiling nor welcoming at all.
The venue is very handy to our accommodation and airport so it was very convenient. Such a shame our experience from this place wasn't warm.

I recently visited Transit Tavern in Skygate with a friend for lunch. We both ordered the 400g rump steak ($35 each), cooked medium rare. The food came out within a reasonable time, and the breeze was perfect whilst dining in.
Unfortunately, one of the steaks was a thinner cut and was cooked medium well, whilst the other one was done correctly. I am not the type to send back food, and it was still edible, so I just finished it.
Despite the issue with the steak, my friend did enjoy his meal which was cooked correctly.
Recommendations:
Double-check that your food is cooked to your liking
If you are looking for a more affordable option, there are other restaurants in Skygate.
Additional notes:
I understand that mistakes happen, and I am not the type to make a fuss. However, I think it is important to be honest in my review so that other customers are aware of the potential for their food to be cooked incorrectly.

Good pub and café style food served. Staff were efficient and friendly and very helpful when I asked what I should order as gluten intolerant. Good specials too. Very fast and convenient. Great option instead of the fast food chains nearby.

Food was very good and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Even though just in DFO it still seemed to have quite a nice relaxing atmosphere. Very much appreciated when the rigours of shopping becomes a little too much.
Been here before and will certainly return.
In a surrounds of mainly eateries, it was like an oasis to a person who doesn't care for the noice and chaos of said eateries.

But of a late review from when we were here but oh well 🫢.
Back in late October we were staying at the Novotel just across the road and wanted a good pub feed for dinner. Stopped by the Transit Tavern for a feed and were really impressed with the food we had. I had a chicken parmy and my mate had steak and chips, both were really tasty. But perhaps the best part was the cheezy garlic bread! It was to die for.
The atmosphere of the place was chill and cosy. Will definitely be back again if we stay at the Novotel again, or maybe pop by for lunch some time.

Amazing place to stop before our cruise, food was so good i forgot to take photo's. Drinks are priced well, i recommend the long island ice tea. Liam is great 👍

Always love spending time here before catching my flight, great food and great choice of tap beers. Calamari is one of my favourite. I always had a great customer service from one of the staff member, she is super friendly with a cute smile on her face.
