Wow! The staff are super friendly. Portions sizes were big and delicious. Definitely value for money. Went for dinner then returned a few days later for lunch. Get in there for a really good dining experience. Yum!

We’re locals, and used to eat here at least once a week. It used to be really good. Wide variety of meals, great lunch time specials and specials for every night of the week.
They must have changed chefs and their menu has gone down the gurgler. They have 1 burger and it’s a vegetarian burger. Got rid of their awesome Mexican parmigiana and removed all the good menu items. The staff are nice enough, and the atmosphere is just as expected for a local tavern.
The menu really lets this place down. Bring back the good menu items and bring back the chef that wasn’t lazy and could make a killer Mexican parmy and bring back the lunchtime specials…and a freaking beef and chicken burger option…tavern food 101!!!

Went in for few jack and cokes. Nice place staff very helpful friendly. Pour nice jack and coke. Pool table there keno and pokie room. Didn't have food but menu did look good

We decided to go here for lunch after it was recommended to us by our son.
I joined the legends and got a discount on all our purchases.
The lunch time menu is fixed price @ $16.95 for non members and $14.95 for members.
For that I got a 200gm steak with salad and chips with my choice of pepper sauce.
The steak was beautifully cooked to medium, and the chips were crunchy.
The quantities were just right and we left feeling well fed without feeling overfull.
The drinks were really well priced.
And the staff were friendly and courteous.
It's a pub atmosphere so don't expect expect to overlook the beach etc.
Although the decor is beachy and there is outside seating also.
All in all a very pleasant meal which exceeded our expectations.
We will definitely be back.
BTW the last time I had a similar steak ,in a place famous for steaks, I paid twice as much and it wasn't as well cooked!!

The tavern is close to the beach but unfortunately no views. But the food was great. My friends had the steak, the barramundi and vege burger with chips. Everything was delicious and good value with the half price special night.

Tavern is about 160m from beach. Pokies. Dinning is beach themed and pleasant. Very cosy environment. Street level.

Sorta 'secret' little locals pub.
Overlooked (or ignored?) by tourists and trendy locals set.
Pool table, good pub bistro menu, typical old school Aussie bar.

Ordered Guinness pie, mash potatoes and mushy peas. Mmmm 2 teaspoons of mushy peas WOW. Sorry but it was so disappointing. Chewy had to cut it up really small to eat. Maybe the chef should try it. Partner had fish and chips. He did enjoy it. We had a wine each pity it didn't reach the lower line.
Would we go again!!! NO is the answer

My friends and myself dined here last Wednesday could not fault the kind and helpful service from the wonderful staff .. food was reasonable delicious and generous servings garlic prawns especially..

I've been here twice for lunch now and the steak on the daily specials menu has been perfect both times! For $14.95 you absolutely can't go wrong. Thanks so much!

It was all lovely but 1 of our steak meals was so tough with gristle that it couldn't be eaten(our other one was ok) great chips attentive service clean, fast

I had the best Schnitzel salad and chips I have had for a long time 💕the chips the salad the dressing the chicken was amazing ……. Service fantastic with a smile highly recommend 😊😊😊😊

I came here for dinner as I was out of town with my wife. I was blown away with the quality for a local tavern like this. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and well mannered. The food came hot and there was next to no wait.
The establishment was clean and had great covid plans in place with plenty of signage throughout. They also had some amazing vegetarian options which is always nice.
I would definitely come here again!

Had lunch here last Saturday. Some great options in their $15 lunch menu. We all had the $15 steak which comes with chips and salad, and choice of sauce. Great value!!

First time here after spending the day at currumbin beach with a friend. Friendly service. Food was avergage for a tavern.
Good location but no view of beach its set a short work from the beach which had free parking and public bathroom facilities.

Fantastic service and quality food. Value is amazing. Have done the steak night, Rib night and Parmy night. Exceptional quality of the staff and chefs. Will definitely be back

Fabulous friendly staff.... Went on 2 occasions. On both occasions we were served by Mitch who was very friendly and we were also served by Lucy the second time who was very pleasant to.
We were on holiday from New Zealand. From the 12th - 21st may 2023.
