Wow! Haven't been here in years but came due to another club losing its power. Unbelievable friendly service, very personalised, no need to press a button for a drink as they are always coming around asking if anyone needs one. Was also offered a small sealed bag of lollies and chicken tenders served in separate small bowls with a large cleaning wipe! Will definitely be back again!

Went there for a meal, food was excellent, fresh, hot and good portion sizes. Gluten free available. The bar staff was friendly and helpful, the cook went out of his way for us, especially for an older lady with food allergies. Highly recommended. Been back several times with different people. Everyone was happy with price and choices. The pub was spotless.

Was not expecting to find top shelf dumplings at the Unanderra Pub!
Chef was super nice and great service bringing the food out personally,even had my favourite sweet chilli sauce.
Bar staff are friendly and pub has been done up really well.
I will be back, thanks guys.

Thumbs up to the chef! Food was outstanding, not only was it presented professionally but the taste of the entire meal including salad was of high quality, outstanding for a pub! Keep up the good work, don't change a thing (including the prices) me and the crew will be back regularly.

This pub is a quick detour from Princess Highway which is quite convenient. The staff are very covid safe and will check that you’ve checked in using the QR code at the entrance. We were at the pub around 3pm on a Friday and the bistro was open. The menu is quite diverse. There’s the usual pub food as well as Thai food including stir fry’s and rice. We had fish and chips as well as a steak. I found the portions quite generous (3 pieces of fish). The batter was crispy and tasty, a bit oily but that’s expected. I found everyone quite friendly and it looks like the pub has been updated recently.

My experience at the Unanderra Hotel.
The management at this establishment should be commended for the staff they have selected to be the face of the business. Customer service is outstanding, and the prompt friendly staff is exactly what I was looking for. I was so pleased with the service I received from April today. She is a hospitality super star. She went above and beyond and makes a lovely coffee. I was very impressed with the quality and attention to detail she put into her work.
Well done April you should be proud of what you bring to your postion as a staff member of this establishment.

The Unanderra hotel is located just off the Princess Hwy on Central road. There is a free parking lot in front of the hotel and many more street parking along neighbouring streets.
As you approach the entrance, you'll notice that there is an outdoor section for seating on the left at the front. Once inside there is a bar on the left, plenty of tables and chairs inside, a kitchen on the left and a couple of pool tables. A gaming room with pokies is behind frosted glass doors on the right next to the bar. There is also a function room that has a small stage and bar inside. Accompanying the function room is a function menu with good sets.
Both the main menu and function menus are very similar. Sliders, fish bites, slat and pepper calamari, chicken skewers, wraps and arancini balls are all available. The dishes are decent though nothing fancy. It's the usual modern pub fare with nothing special provided in the execution of the dishes on the menu. Adequate at best. There are 2 token salads including a common Ceasar salad.
The interior has been recently renovated and modern, though seems to follow the usual modern pub, community club, and RSL feel; modern yet rather generic. You could be at any of these venues.
On this occasion, Staff aren't too engaging though move along effectively doing their jobs. The restrooms were a little untidy also.

The function room, hired for a private party was great! The staff were fantastic, responsive to requests, and kept a close eye on the under 18s. Great pub food, great facilities.
Also, I'm not sure whether it only happens on a Friday night but there were a number of pool players with their own cues, etc, playing. So if you are into competitive pool, check that out.

Staff were rude and security were intimidating but kitchen and meals have gone down hill since head chef left about 2 months ago portion size has halved in size but price gone up picture is for an adult my fork was bigger?

Popped in for a quick work lunch, service from bar and kitchen staff was great.
Reasonable wait time for meals to be prepared, worth the wait tasted just as good as it looked 😊

Ordered Beef Schnitzel, but no beef on the menu. After looking at the menu, it doesn't say that they only have chicken schnitzel. Meal was ok. There was a very green potato chip.
Meal should've cost $53. Was charged $53.24. Nothing says anything about extra charges. Seemingly was for EFTPOS but unsure.S

New owners now though this hasn't changed the pub significantly, so far so good. My steak was delicious but just slightly overcooked. New chef in the kitchen so maybe he's just getting the feel of the grill.

If you haven't been here or haven't been here in a while, you're in for a pleasant surprise.
Neatly refurbished and tastefully done too, this is now a local pub worth a visit.
Food is good quality and if you sign up for the free membership card is very well priced.
Staff are young, keen, friendly and courteous.
Decent array of screens for watching major sporting events and some good live acts on occasion too.
Drop in and see for yourself.

I don’t usually enjoy pub/club food but I came into Unanderra hotel with someone else and saw that there was a “South Indian vegetable curry” on the menu. I ordered it and OH MY GOD it was AMAZING. The curry has mango chutney for flavour and also comes with its a fresh cooked and generously sized papadum. It tasted so so so good.

I attended a birthday party in the function room and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel, its a really welcoming atmosphere. The food looked great, and the staff seemed friendly.

Great local pub, nicely refurbished. Good value food and lots of decent beers on tap.
Friendly young staff and a welcoming atmosphere.
Great place to watch sporting events with plenty of big screens.
Pokies are kept well out of sight of main bar.

Great little pub. Nice pub meals, reasonably priced. Pool tables, wheel chair accessible. Bistro closes at 9pm.

Great Bistro with cheap food for Members. Keno, TAB, bar & private gaming room. The Staff were all friendly & prompt with orders. Function room available. Plenty of parking. Accommodation available upstairs.

Good food and service, came in on a weeknight and it was quiet. Food came out quick but was very tasty. Chicken burger was good and chips seasoned nicely. Definitely worth it.

A great atmosphere. Really nice food with the juiciest burgers I've had anywhere in the Illawarra. I don't order the chips because I absolutely LOVE them and I can't stop eating them. Always friendly service and lots of room.
