We visited Alice Springs in july and found Uncles Tavern just round the corner from our hotel. The food was fantastic and the staff were really helpful. We had barramundi steak and the pie of the day ( chicken and leek ) great selection of beers also.

We had a lunch and dinner at Uncles, the service is quick, meals are affordable and delicious. Nice clean pub.

Wasn't overly happy with my meal easily can make better food at home my pizza is lack toppings that were listed except the pepperoni which was in abundance I found the pizza burnt ,dry a bit thin and unappealing probably will find other food opinions in the area in future

The way the staff are treated and the attitude and aggressive nature of 1 of the men that work here is absolutely deplorable. If you make a complaint they will ban you from the bar or refuse service. As a previous manager of a similar establishment I believe there is a professional way to handle all situations. He did not do this and his attitude is he doesn't have to care.

Terrible service from a miserable bar man. The food took way too long to come out when the place only had a handful of people and was tasteless and awful on arrival. Dry coleslaw on an very over cooked “southern fried chicken” piece. Easily the worst burger I’ve ever had. Two bites and left the rest. Wasn’t served with waffle fries as advertised. 3 out of the 4 meals awful. My friend enjoyed her prawn pasta. Burgers overpriced

Stopped in for a bargain priced beer (or two) on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Great Northern on tap for $6.50 is a very reasonable price for Alice Springs. Late afternoon so i ended up trying the mexican menu that starts at 5pm. 3 delicious and generous soft shell tacos and some tasty corn chips...definitely recommended.

Seriously, I am usually very generous with reviews, however on this occasion I had a $30 rump steak that was at first raw and after ministrations from the Chef, no cook, it turned out to be the toughest piece of steak I have ever had the misfortune to have been served. Will certainly not be a customer here again. Others of my party ordered Uncles Favourite and they were happy with their meals. Stiff for me I suppose.

Nice little place in Alice. Lovely staff. Food very average unfortunately. Over cooked chicken, very dry coleslaw and not enough sauce on the southern fried chicken burger (cheese was also added but not advertised, I didn’t want cheese 😬). Chicken parmi was dry and over cooked and my hubby will normally not complain about food! Chicken nuggets and chips got the highest rating from our son 😆
Beer was cold and delicious though!

Meals came out fast. Drovers loaf and chimichanga from the saturday night Mexican menu.
Last drinks were called before 11which i thought was a bit early.

May 2024: Decent food at decent price with good country pub atmosphere. Well cooked steak. Exactly met expectations of a pub meal in Alice!

Lovely char grilled Rump steak, nice and pink in the middle, proper medium rare...i enjoyed the cocktail too..not too sweet, nice orange taste..not overly bitter.

I've dined here twice when in Alice Springs. Food is good, portions are quite big, the wines delicious and service ok. The atmosphere was super relaxed and I was there on a karaoke night. It was fun!

It was my first time here... and I am very impressed with the food tonight! I had the grilled barra and it was absolutely delicious! Thanks to all the crew :)

In the heart of Alice Springs this pub was recommended for a good feed and it didn't disappoint.
Nothing fancy but I had a Chicken Parma and it was great and plenty of it, its a pub atmosphere with a mixture of locals and tourists with friendly staff.
Good place for a good feed.. 👌👌👍👍

If you are looking for a good aussie pub meal- Uncles is your place! My wife, myself and 3 kids loved this place. The food was delicious and massive servings and great value. We had the beef ribs- the best we have ever eaten ($25 on Monday's). The kids ate from the kids menu and these were large servings as well. Friendly atmosphere and we hope to get back again before we leave the territory in a few weeks.

If in Alice Springs you should come here for dinner and drinks. Food was spot on and drinks were too. Everything was at a great price. Wish I was here longer so I could have gone again. Staff were great too.

Great service, but the washrooms need to be expanded and make them spacious. Comfort to sit and sip for long hours. I must give a shout out to the Kitchen master who prepared meal even after the kitchen closed. I did not thank him personally but I will remember his great service with a smiley face.

Great portion sizes and extensive shot and cocktail lists.
Great, friendly service and interaction with the local community.
I will definitely be coming back before I leave Alice!

Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Pricing is fair. Unfortunately, my dinner was a complete letdown. The dry, crumbly meat patty ruined the hamburger and the accompanying waffle fries were soggy. The "bacon and cheese cob" was a greasy lump of regret. On the other hand, my partner's steak was cooked perfectly to order and the side of vegetables was pleasant.

Friendly Staff Nice atmosphere
Had the NRL on the television bonus. Had a $10pizza. Delicious. Backgound music was tops.

Food was alright ! We went on a Sunday night and got the $22 roast deal which consisted of roast meat with vegetables and a choice of one of three deserts.
The roast was okay although, it came with two tiny peace’s of meat !! At least three would have been better. Great idea to have a daily deal for dinner and lunch.

Food ok. Wish the Calamari was real squid and not 'formed' .... however the chips and salad were lovely, and it was a lovely cool place to rest on our journey.
