Wow! This place is definitely worth a visit for Sunday lunch. 18 meals and every single one was perfect! All the food came out together, no one was waiting for their meal. Ollie was our waiter and he was fantastic. Plates and glasses were cleared without a fuss. I am so full! Cannot speak more highly of this bistro. So, if you want a decent place to have a function, the Sunday lunch kitchen crew are amazing. You won't be disappointed.

Would be great if there were more fresh food options instead of the majority deep fried meals. I mixed a side salad item with an entree item. My friends chose the cheaper smaller meals but when I looked at them I was relieved in not ordering from that range.

What a great lunch.
Excellent service from the moment we entered. Most of us opted for the roast of the day (pork) which was delicious.
We were offered drinks in a timely manner and the free bottled water was appreciated.
All in all, a very positive dining experience

We ordered a Veal scaloppini but it was like beef chuck steak with mushrooms. It wasn’t as described and wasn’t good. My wife struggled to eat it and we were not allowed to take home as they don’t do that. Waitress said nothing when we complained. I had a Parmi which was ok but had no salad which you had to buy extra. Probably wouldn’t go back. It use to be a happy place but now isn’t.

We love the fact that you can always get a car close by, have a couple of beers and a meal then walk over to the football. The food is a good pub meal and the beer is icy cold and service is always pretty fast. See you next time 👍

we had a booking at 20:15, our meals came really quick and the staff were super friendly

We ate here a couple of days before Christmas for a family catch up. The food was great, good sized meals and value for money.
Sadly the service lacked a little bit. It took us 10 mins to be acknowledged upon arrival (it wasn't busy) and the general mood of the girls serving us just seemed off. Maybe that pre Christmas exhaustion? Only an hour after we'd arrived the staff were packing up around us. We felt like we were an inconvenience.
All in all it was a pleasant experience that could have been made just that bit better by more enthusiastic service. However, we will be back.

Very happy with our evening at the Valley Inn tonight. Wait staff were friendly and attentive, food was fresh, arrived quickly and delicious and there was different sports on different screens and music playing but wasn’t too loud or distracting.
We will definitely return another night.

The service is always excellent, friendly and lots of long term staff which speaks volumes in the hospitality industry. We are regulars here, we tend to order the buffalo wings, calamari, chicken scallopini, parmis, curry or fish specials most the time, tank beer is fantastic.

Such a fantastic atmosphere.. Staff were amazing.. Food on time.. Food was beautiful.. some had a small meal which was so good for us older people who don't eat such big meals anymore.. Restrooms were clean.. Had a great night and in time for the football.. Thank you for making us all feel so important and relaxed...

My adult kids and I had dinner on Mother's Day.
Everything was great as always.
I especially appreciated the free glass of bubbly on arrival.
A perfect touch for Mother's Day, thank you!

Meal was good that you can order a smaller meal garlic bread was ok a bit dry but eatable we had dessert chocolate mud cake was a disappointment was very dry

It’s always a pleasure to dine in the bistro at the Valley Inn. Attentive and friendly staff, great menu with lots of favourites and easy parking (except when Geelong is playing at home but we usually find a spot). It’s our go to hotel bistro when friends and family are visiting too. Great place.

I have never had a worse pub meal. Went there last night for the roast of the day, which was beef, and it tasted really horrible. The vegetables were steamed and basically raw and all smothered in an indistinguishable bland gravy. Couldn't eat it. Terrible food.

I had taken my father out for lunch. We very much enjoyed our lunch today. We will dine here again. My Angus steak cooked to perfection. Thanks to all who work hard there to make diners experience wonderful.

Great pre game pub, cold Carlton Draft, hot hot buffalo wings to die for and a great beef madras & battered fish special. With a Freo win to make it even better

Constantly has smart reply’s to most comments, acts like he’s above you.
Really unfortunate to see a great pub being lead by the wrong leader.

GREAT FOR A NICE LUNCH WE ORDERED SMALL SERVES
AS MAIN MEALS ARE WAY TOO BIG EVEN FOR A DINNER ,THEY NEED TO REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE MEALS DUE TO WASTE GOING BACK TO THE KITCHEN, NOT GOOD FOR A PROFITABLE BUSINESS, BUT PLEASED OVERALL AS USUAL.
WE WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY USE VEAL NOT CHICKEN LIKE THEY ALWAYS DID FOR THEIR SCALLOPINI WHICH WAS A SIGNATURE DISH THEY SHOULD BRING IT BACK OR GET A NEW CHEF !

Great customer service, fast and efficient delivery of food. The lady that served us was very kind and welcoming. Serving size was great. My partner and myself could not finishing everything.

Great clean space with good design, surprisingly busy for wed lunch. Service was efficient, attentive and polite. Food was incredible with great flavour, yet when I requested mayonnaise for my fries the waitress returned with it with a message from the chef that left me speechless (as a chef myself this was ….???) ; I was told “for your future reference I will not be serving mayonnaise “ this left a bit of a disappointment with how things were going. I’ll definitely rethink coming again….

First visit in a long time.. our guess was definitely refurbished. Lunch was great value for money. Decent sized steak. I chose double Greek salad with no chips. OMG.. Amazing flavour from that salad and fetta melted in my mouth. Shout out to the waitress for talking me into that!.. very attentive too 👍. Had a look at the bar on way out and was very impressed. Tank draught nice and cold and atmosphere created from designers that clearly new what they were doing. Will be back for a proper session soon 👌

Excellent food & great value for money. Had a "small meal" chicken parmigiana with a Greek salad & it was a perfect size as I ate it all & didn't need anything else. My husband had surf & turf which could've been more garlicky but he still enjoyed it. Great friendly service & nice atmosphere.

The culinary offerings at The Valley Inn, are nothing short of excellent. We decided to try the Chicken Schnitzel with Chips and Vegetables for the adults, and it was a standout dish. The schnitzel was perfectly crispy on the outside while tender and juicy on the inside. The accompanying chips were golden and crunchy, and the steamed vegetables were fresh and seasoned just right.
For the kids, we ordered the Nuggets and Chips. The chicken nuggets were a hit, made from real chicken and not overly processed, and the chips were a perfect match. It’s clear that the kitchen takes care in preparing even the simplest dishes to a high standard.

A few of us ex & still employed workers from same company caught up for lunch. Wow this place has changed so much since I was there last about 1987/88 when they had a D.J playing. The small food portions for lunch was just enough for these old bellies. Service was very good & although not busy still had a nice atmosphere. Well done to all involved. I had the Bangers & Mash was very nice.
