We just had lunch at the Victory Hotel and I have to say the service and the food were excellent! We ordered steaks, Nachos, Ceaser wraps and a chicken burger. We also ordered truffel mac and chees for fun and it was so good! The chef Kathryn was so attentive and made sure were were more then satisfied with our orders. The bar staff was so lovely and funny. We will 100% come back and refer our friends. Thanks again guys for a great experience 🙏😊

Very disappointed in the treatment of my brother recently- he was asked to leave after only two drinks. He was in no way intoxicated nor acting in an unsociable way. It seems like either management or security enjoy a power trip as they laughed at him when he tried to state his case. It was absolutely disgraceful. For a place that I previously loved to go to with friends , very disappointed ☹️ border line discrimination.

This venue is trash!! Attempted to go into this hotel tonight with my husband and some family friends. My husband was clearly not drunk and they denied him access. I had to go inside and get all of our family and friends out of the venue. I asked the bearded man out the front why my husband was denied access as he had 3 drinks and he laughed at me. We were treated disrespectfully and the whole experience had completely ruined our night out. DO NOT GO HERE!!

The Vic used to have great value steaks but that's no longer the case with the new menu that came in this week unfortunately. The food is still good but unfortunately there are better value options out there now. Luckily they still have Coke and not Pepsi as their mixer. I'll be back for sure.

The management has introduced a reward scheme. The $20 beef nachos with guacamole is now a $20 pulled pork nachos without guacamole. The guacamole is now an add-on for an extra $3. And if you're not a member, add on another $2.

Small place in the city good to grab a beer after work. I went there with a few work mates recently to cheke it out. There was live music and a bistro as well as a area for smokers. Spent a few hours there buying jugs and ate a steak sandwich the food was good and the beer was cheap. Would likely go there again for a quick beer after work

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Was just expecting a horrible pub joint but it was actually quite nice. Extremely busy but nice. Made a reservation online. My booking was there as expected. $10 jugs of beer...great! Ordered the grilled barra which was beautiful. Even the chips and salad was lovely. Honestly really pleasantly surprised with everything from service to food. Lovely!

Ordered the Mexican topped Chicken Parmi for lunch. The portion size was great with generous sides to complement. For $15, It'd on the mark for a sit down lunch in the city, add their tap beer special for $5 and your on a winner 🏆. The staff are friendly with no BS. Cheers Victory 🍻

Nice place for a beer and some food. Indoor and outdoor seating areas. Plenty of room. Happy they had an amber ale on tap!

Last week, I was out with a friend and we just wanted to grab some drinks at this pub. However, we were stopped by a security girl who insisted on checking our bags. She rudely asked us to drink all the soft drinks we had because she suspected they might contain alcohol. Her attitude was incredibly rude and she didn't bother to explain why she was suspicious. While I get why some other pubs might ask customers to keep soft drinks in their bags or help customers keeping it for a while, but it was totally out of line for this pub to assume we had alcohol and demand we either drink it or toss it. Since we were already there, we certainly didn't plan on consuming the soft drinks we had brought with us in our bags. The service at this place was the worst I've ever seen.

I would not visit there again. The security team put a target on your back and throw you out for no reason. This was even after singing at the karaoke event, word perfect, no slurring, and no swearing. After a large applause, I went back to sit down with my family to relax but was then told I had to leave within 10 minutes. I had only been there for just on half an hour. Everybody enjoyed the song. The security staff and the manager informed me that I was intoxicated after two drinks (I checked my credit card receipt). After coming from a work appointment, it seems you can’t even have a good time any more. The smart and smug comments from the security guards as you leave are inappropriate and speaks to their level of integrity. They were seen laughing, clearly trying to fire respectable people up to start a fight and waving at us. This was unnecessary as my family and I left on our own accord and they clearly wanted to see more action. It seems they are just a bunch of thugs. I also contacted the manager. She proceeded to say that I was intoxicated and she made the call to evict me. I must have been earmarked early on as I was only there for 30 minutes. Unfortunately what I also observed was a woman, who was falling all over the dance floor in the karaoke bar, remain in the establishment. There seems to be rules for some and not others. To the owner of the establishment, I would check the footage and question your management as of why she wasn’t evicted yet others were. Shame on you. The Victory was my go to venue in my youth and no more will I endure or tolerate this discriminatory, poorly managed venue with arrogant security personal. Despite being provided 10 minutes, I left immediately on my own terms opting to go straight away. Shame on you Victory Hotel. After looking at all the other reviews, this seems like a pattern due to poor management and security. The bar staff were efficient and lovely. Maybe they need to look at new management who actually analyse the security footage to show the over excessive use of people getting thrown out. The fact that there is inconsistencies leads me to believe there is a high level of discrimination. Furthermore, I attended another reputable venue after I left the Victory Hotel, who did not have any concerns about my demeanour or the demeanour of the guests who attended with me. Moving forward, there does not seem to be a complaints handling policy for this establishment. When I tried to resolve the issue respectfully, the manager was unable to respond appropriately and hung up on me. This is not a way to run a reputable business.

It is usually crowded site, especially while life music is on. Good thing is here you'll never be bored. The orders are quite big, i recomend you two order one dish on two people. The gigs are usually divided in 10-15 mins sets in order to keep good mood. The garden is especially comfy for midday meals.

I might have lost an item there. Tried to ask for help to get it back, got no answer on Instagram, neither on Facebook, went to the place and staff was not diligent checking if my lost item might be there.

I haven't been back since the mid 80s as a young bloke of 19 and 20 years old. I enjoyed it as much on Saturday night as I did way back then. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Great pub in the city with a no frills atmosphere, prices on the drinks are some of the cheapest in town. Good vibes after work, staff are always smiling and happy to help.

Great lunch at the Victory Hotel, sitting in the outdoor garden area - we were well sheltered from the unexpected downpour of rain. I order the Vietnamese Salad with added grilled chicken. Very affordable price, generous portion and delicious food.

Friendly staff, excellent meal and decent value. I had the Chicken Schnitzel with salad, chips and pepper sauce. It was delicious and only $20 - pretty great for the CBD.

Food review only: Victory burger is not a $25 burger by a very long shot. Parmy was good though.

Extremely friendly, professional and good looking staff. Such a good atmosphere with the good vibes from the staff and the great music going on in the background taking everyone to the next level. Might end my google review night here. Think it's the best scene I'm goanna find in Brisbane. Well done guys.

Don't play these pokies, the settings are set disgracefully low!! Me and a mate put $1k each through 2 different machines.. took over 150 spins to get a feature and it returned not even $20. Honestly I don't mind losing a bit of money at pub pokies, but the levels set at this pub are shameful.

Dirty and smelly. Low grade. Maybe good for tradies or people who are covered in filth after work (been there so get it) and who just wants somewhere no frills to drink and shout but otherwise you notice the place is greasy and grimy. The staff are quite friendly all things considered.

Delicious Arancini, Disappointing Service I recently visited The Victory Hotel and indulged in their delicious Arancini balls. The flavors were impeccable, and it was evident that the kitchen staff took great care in preparing them. However, my dining experience took an unfortunate turn due to the behavior of one particular staff member, who I will refer to as "Bo" for the purpose of this review. Initially, my evening began smoothly as Bo served me my first and second beers without any issues. However, when my partner attempted to order another drink later in the evening, Bo refused to serve her with another alcoholic beverage for me, citing I was stumbling. I attempted to clarify the situation, explaining the nature of my injury and even showing him the extensive bruising, but Bo's response was not only dismissive but also disrespectful. His attitude towards me was quite frankly appalling. It was clear that he was uninterested in understanding my situation and instead chose to speak to me in a condescending manner. I felt belittled and unwelcome, which greatly tarnished what would have otherwise been a flawless dining experience. I urge the owner or manager to address this issue promptly. Employees should be trained to handle all situations with empathy and professionalism, leaving personal problems and attitudes at home. No customer should ever feel mistreated or humiliated, especially over a misunderstanding as trivial as this. In conclusion, while the culinary delights I had deserve every bit of praise, the unfortunate encounter with Bo significantly detracted from my overall satisfaction which would have been a 5 star review. It is my hope that management takes the necessary steps to ensure that incidents like these are not repeated in the future, so that all patrons can fully enjoy the exceptional dining experiencethe The Victory has to offer.

Came to this place by reviewers and all I can say is, THEY ARE RIGHT! The $10 beer jug and food are amazing, the atmosphere is mixed from casual, gambling, relaxing, dancing or just hanging out with friends. Victory has it all, will definitely be coming back here again and again
