We’re first customers there for counter lunch. Ordered roast pork of blackboard for $25 which is expensive for country pub and Lamb shank for $25 when meals arrived eventually roast pork came with some roast potatoes roast carrot and some roast onion no greens at all. Lamb shank was really only a half shank came with a piece of corn broccoli and carrot and chips. Overall a very ordinary experience one of the worst pub meals I’ve had.

This older style hotel located in the township of Cecil Plains has been operating for some years under the same management for about the last 5 years. The hotel has meals 7 days a week also accommodation up stairs, they have a small area with pool table including some pokies, their is also a outdoor under cover BBQ area and ample on street parking. Wheel chair access is provided with entry from the right hand side of the hotel.

This Australia Day 2021 first time in Cecil Plains for me.Victory Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.Room rate very reasonable.Staff dressed up for Australia day, some with small flags and road signs on head ,another with Aus flag as a cape.Somewhere to visit or stay if you're in the area.

There with hubby for lunch today. Service was excellent, lovely staff, ambience gr8, comfortable clean dining area, new amenities, but the burgers & chips 'outstanding' along with reasonable pricing. Will definitely be back. Thanks all.

Stayed here for 3 weeks whilst working away. Great little pub amazing food, great price for what you get big meals. Ron and Vicki who run it are awesome people very friendly. Hospitality was exceptional for a small little country pub. I'm taking my misses back there when I can for a feed

Quiet pub, food was extremely good, but not cheap! Brisbane restaurant prices for many items. Mains well over $20, but plenty of it, and well cooked. No breakfast on offer, and breakfast "room" is a closed in verandah with a fridge and microwave, toaster, kettle for guest use.||Accommodation was okay. A bit noisy, and basic bedrooms, BUT the bathrooms were outside on the verandah, and not heated, so at 1 degree in the morning quite a challenge. ||A word of warning, upstairs is quite problematic for mobility challenged or limited people. No help with luggage offered to two elderly birdwatchers, and main staircase closed off with alarms between 9pm and 11am!!!!! The alternative is a rickety, steep, and quite dangerous stairs at the back of the pub.||For younger, less fussy people, probably good value, but will not be staying here again.

My partner and I stayed here for two nights recently, not in the hotel as expected but in a house next door that the hotel owns. The house itself was more then adequate for our needs and spotless. It is showing its age but is going to be renovated soon I was told. The owner (Josh) and his staff go out of their way to assist and serve their customers in anyway, all done with a smile. They made our stay more then enjoyable! ||Price of the ensuite room was a pleasant surprise and I would recommend this country hotel to anyone who was looking for good accommodation near Toowoomba/Dalby.

It’s a lovely old pub and in the process of renovation ....and the upstairs is desperately in need. However the prices reflect the quality, the bed was comfortable, it had AC and a tiny TV, so all in all good value and once they get it fixed it will be fine. But I have seen better shearers quarters. ||||However I booked because I had read that the meals were good. Rib fillet, medium rare ...PERFECT. Staff could use some work....smile! And a gin & tonic comes in a small glass....not a jug.||||BTW if you get all of your own crap out of the sheds, you can offer bikers undercover parking and they will flock to you. Many bikers, ride $30,000 toys and spend big on food, beer and wine. Much more lucrative than itinerate labourers.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my husband who travelled from Brisbane to work in Cecil Plains for a couple of days.He booked the room for two nights, on arrival he found the shared toilet to be disgustingly filthy, bathroom had no extractor fan, no towel rail, no mirror. He ordered char grilled chicken for dinner, his thoughts on it were it looked like it was taken from the freezer and into the microwave, raw and cold in the middle, inedible. He had hoped by the morning the toilet would have been cleaned, NO. When he returned that afternoon after work the room had not been serviced nor had the toilet been cleaned. There was also a large ash tray full of cigarette ends on the balcony, he packed his bag and left for a motel in Dalby.

Hadn't been to the Vic pub for 30+ years. The round pool table was gone, hahaha The staff were friendly and it was great to see them looking after some of the older locals.

Had a flat battery down by the bridge. Called the victory Hotel. Rob asked around for someone to come and jump start my vehicle. One of the guys came down, sorted it out and got me out of a jam. Rob was friendly and more than happy to ask around for me. I gave my rescuer $50 for his trouble. Friendly people who assist the traveller. Thanks guys!!

FRIENDLY, FAST and DOG FRIENDLY! We stopped for lunch on the way to St George and loved it so much, we stopped on the way back! The food was great, bar and wait staff friendly and they couldn't do more to accommodate. Outside area out the back for you to bring your pooch and they are strictly following Covid 19 rules. Sit at the bar or in one of the many rooms available inside or out. Prices are reasonable and they have pub specials. Generous serves and great wholesome food. A definite stop for a meal (book for dinner as it gets booked out), stay the night or just a beer at the bar. Under new management - and it shows! PS. If you see Dillon, the local bar fly, tell him I say hi!!! 😜😜

Cecil Plains is a very small farming town, which is on the banks of the Condamine river. The town has a camping ground, a swimming pool, Library, and also a Hotel !||||Clean, Tidy and welcoming, the Victory Hotel has provided all that I need, for a night in the small town of Cecil Plains. They have a nice bar, which serves the usual range of drinks, The food is a little pricey for this part of the world, but they more than make up for the price, with the size of the meals and snacks.

A fantastic country pub that we were welcomed into by the owners, staff and the locals! Had a great meal, tasted delicious and was generous and oh so cheap! A few of the city pubs could learn from these guys.
