Went for my birthday, the staff were fabulous, the atmosphere was fantastic, clean and new but the food was SO bad we couldn't finish a plate and that's if there was any food to have. Soup was thick and not enough to line the bottom of the bowl. Roasts were dried out, No veges left apart from gluggy cauliflower and broccoli, Ice cream machine had run out. Food was picked over.

We never knew we were so nearby to a buffet with such a great selection of food, which even managed to accommodate for my youngest who is a very picky eater!
Our first experience to the Village Green was accommodated by the delightful Vithy who served us at the front desk, bar and provided table service! He was assisted by Angie and Coraline, a team of superstars!!
Will definitely be visiting again soon!

We had a 2hr session to catch up with friends. Smoking area available and a children's playground.
The food was amazing. For my visit we had only pumpkin soup.
Good place to book in for buffet for any occasion.

Was not impressed below average, fish was heavily battered, schnitzel was ok. But I will not be going back. Sorry no photos of the food .

Visited the feast buffet with my family for dinner. The food selection was very diverse and well prepared. though admittedly the entry price for adults was a bit steep. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful making for a wonderful dining experience. Shout out to Vithy, Patrick and Brooke for this!😊

Very comfortable, great atmosphere and an easy family night. Chicken parmas were delish with a price that made us happy!!

This is not a go at staff. They were severely understaffed for a big event. Food came in dribbs and drabs , incorrect items as well. Not great quality. Photo is of 2 porterhouses in comparison. Both meant to be medium. Tap n order list had items that they never stock and took ages to deliver. Not recommend.

This is a great place for families to get together and enjoy with some food.. there's also a little play area for small kids.. Service by the staff are awesome and very polite. Recommend anyone to this lovely place.

The staff just don't care. Asked at the 'all you can eat' seafood buffet what other foods are served besides seafood and the waitstaff replys with 'well we also have calamari'...... the gaming area is happy to serve flat soft drink. The sports bars service was short and inattentive and the meals we got fish and chips, parma and onion rings were all super oily and pretty flavorless. The chips were ok 👍 It's a nice big place to catch up in... just don't eat here and watch out for bla attitudes 😒 and flat soft drinks.

The Cabaret room at Village Green Hotel had 22 tables and 220 guests for a netball club end of year celebration. The buffet food was reasonably priced and tasty. The venue coordinator was easy to work with. The room had 2 x wireless microphones, lectern and projector. The speakers in the room connected wirelessly (via Bluetooth). I would recommend hiring this venue for community group functions.

Shocking food... Would not feed to my dog. In fact, frozen food from Woolworths is heaven compared to here. Come on guys, show some passion.

Restaurant was nice looking, neat and clean with good atmosphere. There is a play area for the kids. Food was ok.
WARNING: Double check orders when placing. My friend and I ordered a 180g Porterhouse steak and both got a 300g Sirloin. I wasn't happy about being charged an extra $18 for my meal but I didn’t complain. The Sirloin was completely covered in pepper grains that I had to scrape them off. Steak was tough and had a lot of sinew. Others enjoyed their food.

Our group of 5 girls just had a buffet lunch at the Village Green Hotel. The food was plenty and delicious. Especially we were attended by lovely Jane who was so very welcoming and attentive. Definitely a 5-star experience in atmosphere, food quality and customer service.

I was there late afternoon and decided to stay for dinner , l wish l had of thought about that a bit longer , in the all you can eat section , the pricing was way too much for what they had to offer $44 for one adult . Wh n they showed me to my table it had knives, forks and serviettes but there was one problem they had nor wiped the able from previous people , that turned my stomach . I went and got some food cause l was starving and sat down starting eating , and let me just say l will not be going back again. Nothing was hot , it was dry and just horrible for $44 per adult. They need to be taught some hygiene and food safety skills . Honestly l could not even recommend any dishes .

I was looking for a nice environment for lunch near my work. Thank god I found this place, really relaxing and service by Vithy was amazingly beautiful. He was very professional and had a kind manner. Food was good and I'm looking forward to trying their buffet with my hubby soon. Thanks for a tasty and beautiful lunch 😁

I turned up to the village Green Hotel with my family later than expected for lunch. We had had an emotional morning visiting my dad's grave (recently passed away) and then my mum in aged care, staying with her longer than anticipated. We wanted to watch the Anzac Day footballl match and have lunch in the Sports Bar but didn't make a booking, not realising we would be so late. We arrived at 2.25pm, the kitchen closes at 2.30pm, very rude of us, but that didn't deter the staff and we received excellent service, with the manager asking for the kitchen to stay open for us.
Two of the meals received were meant to be entrees but we received mains, my daughter received a complimentray soft drink, with the service being the best I've encountered at a pub.
The staff had no idea why we were there or the emotional morning we had experienced. Thank you to all of the staff in the Sports bar for a nice afternoon with a good atmosphere.

I have eaten at many ALH pubs. The Village Green is very well priced and the quality is high compared to most. Our Waiter was Vithy. It is great to see someone who takes pride in their service approach. He is very helpful and well mannered. A great dining experience at a great price. Well done

i had a group for a birthday party. people ordering and paying for mains received entrees (eg mains ordered and paid for as Wok tossed Pork belly with rice and vegetables served as the cheaper entree pork belly bites) watermelon Salad mains took 2 hours to arrive despite being ordered first. Polite order queries were met with " not my problem i just serve them " as a reply and the bar attendant kept going missing for 30+ minutes at a time. Polite requests by several people to speak to the manager were met with " they're busy", "They're on a break " or "They're not here tonight ". Emails about our experience have not been replied to weeks after the event. Avoid at all costs.

Friendly and polite and professional staff that would step in to make night flow.
Not happy with the food. Garlic bread was OK but microwaved. Cheeseburger probably on its 2nd attempt to be served yo someone :( totally inedible. Never came across such food in Melbourne

The show was marred by technical "difficulties" and people who won't shut up.

Fairly good prices... good selection of beers, good service and a huge carpark! It's worth going to. The buffet option is good too. Want to give 3.5 stars... but have to give 3 as there is no half option

Enjoyed a fabulous family dinner for 3 generations at Village Green Hotel. We booked at The Central Bar & Grill, which had great atmospheric lighting and great decor. All staff members were smiling, friendly, and welcoming. We were assisted by Jan and Vithy, who were both extremely helpful and attentive. All 5 meals were incredible and cooked to perfection - including steak and salmon dishes. The senior risotto portion was the perfect size for a smaller appetite. Thanks to Chef Ryan for producing perfection in all dishes to please and satisfy the whole family.
The only disappointing thing was that the hotel was so empty, especially considering it was a Saturday night. Seriously, everyone, do yourselves and The Village Green Hotel staff a favour and book a table today. The prices are fantastic, the food is incredible and the staff are amazing! Everything you need and want for a fantastic social gathering.

Certainly exceeded expectations and we enjoyed a dinner at the Village Green Bar & Grill very much. Great atmosphere, not too crowded and most importantly, the food was very well priced but we'll presented and great tasting.

Booked for a table of 8 today, and did we 8. Price was well below what I expected to pay. The young man that took payment was a top bloke, very impressed. The food was plentiful and had a large variety. The place wasn't over crowded and had plenty of parking. Aircon was perfect for a 33c day. I'll be BACK

A huge barn of a place surrounded by car parking. On Thursday night it was very quiet. Parts of it felt tired and could do with some maintenance. A few interactions with the staff were excellent and they really knew their job. The main looking back door which looked like an entrance was locked which surprised me.

A fantastic environment, lady manger (didnt get her name), was friendly and excellent customer service. Staff clear plates promptly. Food- fresh seafood. Pork tough, variety of food.

ABSOLUTE RIP OFF!!!! We booked buffet for 5.30pm - got there in time to find the queue was at the door. Took 15 minutest to get to the counter. We paid $42 per head.. We were a group of 9... waited another 15 minutes at the bar for first drink (weren't told we could order from our table). Got to our table, had a bit of a chat and a drink,ordered second drinks, went to food bar, waited another 15 minutes in the queue and the plates were small so we assumed we could go back for more. By this stage it was 6:45pm and we were told we had to leave at 7pm. No time to go back for more food so we all left still a bit hungry. Such a waste of money and very poorly handled by staff. We should have been told at the counter we had to leave in an hour and 15 minutes.. My advice is, give this place a miss....
