Went up to The Wanneroo Tavern with a couple of mates just recently for a few Friday night drinks and had a great time. Service was great from the Bartender Cooper he was really personable and loved a great chat. Wouldn’t of spent as much time (or money) whilst we were there if it weren’t for him.

Went there for a couples dinner with friends - liked the booths and service (apart from the drink order being wrong and the other one being forgotten). The food was terrible did the 1kg Parmi and it was dried out processed meat heavily bread crumbed. Porcetta was fatty and not well cooked. Prawn cocktail was good but the other Stitzel was also as bad as the Parma.

I wouldn't recommend this place.

We had lunch on Sunday at this lovely old venue.
Food was excellent, could not fault it. Prompt friendly service. Staff were attentive without been intrusive.
Huge portions & great value for money.
I would have given this restaurant 5 stars but we had just finished our main courses & contemplating ordering dessert when a group of 4 entered the restaurant with a medium to large size dog and were seated 2 booths behind us. I was made aware that this venue was dog friendly as I saw a sign above the entrance with conditions upon our arrival. I wasn't concerned as this venue has a large outdoor area & I assumed the dogs would be restricted to the outdoor area.
Hence we decided to have dessert somewhere else. Although food & service was excellent I am not sure we will return. Having dogs in an indoor restaurant in my opinion is unsanitary & possible unsafe for patrons.

We had a lovely evening served by CLARE she was so welcoming, very friendly and attentive and made our toddler very happy with arranging a blue cup especially for him it was so lovely touch. The food was great as always, my only issue was the mashy peas, they were a little too sweet for me but that is my only complaint

We enjoyed a relaxed Saturday family dinner.
We ordered some of the traditional styles of meals: Surf and Turf, Parmigiana and a serve of Fish and Chips.
We also order a dish from the specials menu. The dish was called the "Conti" which was a well prepared traditional style continental roll.
All meals were highly recommended. Service was great.

This is probably the worst review I have ever had to leave a restaurant.
We booked a table for 11 people. Here is my feedback;
It took 40mins for drinks to come.
It took 1 hour and 5 for starters to come.
The 4 kids meals arrived after the adults mains even though we asked for them to come first.
Starters were wrong.
There were pork pieces in the vegetarian sweetcorn starter.
The waitress bringing out food had a shocking attitude and virtually threw the plates onto our table.
My pork belly was dry and some bits were totally overcooked.
Our Steak orders were all wrong;
3 of us asked for no chips and all had chips, 1 arrived with no salad, the cuts were wrong and sauces mixed up.
The mains arrived only a few mins after our starters, so were getting cold, and then the starter plates stayed sitting on the table during our main meal.
The blonde young lady who took our order was lovely and read back the order- I don’t believe the wrong orders were her mistake. She remained polite and apologetic but no one else was.
I also must add that when I got my scotch fillet medium rare- it was the best steak I have had in a while and cooked perfectly.

Staying near Wanneroo look no further than the Wanneroo Villa Tavern.
Motel style Accomodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. Pub was great, family friendly, foods were very tasty, well priced and generous portions.
I sampled the wings, steak sanga and the eye fillet which was blue just as I requested.
Service was friendly and food delivered to the room, if that’s your thing… This is a one stop shop for a great stay.

Service was fabulous, particularly Lea, who recommended the delightful Mushroom Wellington I ordered. Would definitely order again.
There for a birthday party and all the food looked great.
Only issue was it was quite loud.

Love this place, weekly special beer at cheap price, great menu options and outdoor eating in summer is divine.
Never a hint of trouble with the locals very family friendly, can't praise enough. Your welcome

Lovely decorated tavern. Food was delicious and great presentation . The service was upbeat and friendly. Thank you to Zoe and Jess and Chef all staff. We enjoyed our anniversary.

I was absolutely delighted with the efficiency of service here by the delightful Heidi. All of our food was delicious but my salmon was a bit overcooked which I'd mentioned even after I ate every bit as it was still so nice but when I received the bill, my Salmon dish had been completely deleted! I'd expected to pay but I was told with a lovely smile, so sorry & it was no problem. Service like that is practically non existent these days.
Well definitely be back.

I’ve always had a soft spot for this place, & have been saddened to see the lack of patrons supporting a good old unpretentious local pub in recent years, but things are back on the up! Visited this week for the steak special. $20 & kids eat free - it was rammed! Sunday roast on weekdays has been introduced for $20, & there are other specials for dinner. We’ve always had a warm welcome, but Clair was outstanding in taking care of us when we arrived with no booking thinking it’d be as quiet as ever. Give it a go, it’s not fancy, but doesn’t have fancy prices, & it’s very relaxed..,.& the food specials are great value! You can’t lose, based on our visit.

It was a pleasant experience but the meals are overpriced for what you get. To come out of a kitchen with I assume qualified Chefs, the salad was pitiful, I think it was only there to fill a gap on the large plate, it was a mess and very, very basic.

I have been attending this tavern for a few years Claire is amazing. She gives such a warm welcome and amazing customer service.
She makes coming worth while.
I've seen managers come and go and the service I received last week from sienna was rude. I was relieved to see Claire's lovely face today.

Had one of the best steak sandwich’s in ages. Staff were amazing, Cherise I think her name was, was super helpful for our group especially for mate who has a dairy allergy.

Had a lovely dinner at the Wanneroo Tav tonight- the mushroom Wellington was amazing. Our waitress was fantastic however I can’t remember her name!! It was 4 letters and started with a K I think 🤔 she was lovely.
Great food, good menu, fab service and atmosphere 🩷 we will be back

Good service. Great food. Didn't have the 1kg Chicken Parmigiana but it looked amazing and was told it tasted just as good. Going to be a tough choice next time between that and the super sized steak sandwich.

Food was alright, gravy had been burned but the Fish and Chips was nice. Very loud, staff completely clueless and service is very slow.
And it’s quite expensive for what you get. We won’t be back.

First time at the tavern today. Food was lovely.
Our server Heidi was amazing, super helpful and always had a smile on her face.

Found a table for us on a busy night with no booking and looked after us from go to whoa
I came especially for the fish pie which unfortunately is no longer on the menu

Best steak sandwich in the northern suburbs. Buttermilk squid is always tender.

Update - asked for the Steak sandwich and prawn cocktail recently.. Very disappointed that the cocktail is no longer available. Also, the quality of the Steak sandwich has dropped off a bit ( chewy )
Hope the Prawn cocktail comes back soon.

As a family we regularly have lunch or dinner together at Wanneroo Tavern. And when friends visit from out of town it’s always on our itinerary to take them there for a few drinks and a meal. We love the earthy atmosphere and the old vintage style memorabilia. Our family always has the additional joy of being served by Heidi. She always makes us feel welcome, and she always gives us a hug goodbye which makes us feel like more than just diners at a local business. Every time we go to Wanneroo Tavern we always ask if Heidi is there. We are going there again for lunch tomorrow. Food is great, large portions, well priced and worth every penny.

A pub where children have priority. So so noisy and at no time were the parents addressed to make it more palatable for the other paying patrons. Used my Pub+ app at the bar to order drinks. All good. They give Table service to order meals but at no time did they ask for the Pub+
App. When it came to paying I'm told the Pub+ app has to be scanned at the time of ordering but none of the girls have a scanner with them during table service and nor do they ask for it.
The Manager who served me with drinks and knew I had the Pub+ app did not mention anything to me, knowing full well that they offer table service.
A simple notice on the tables would be helpful, but that is too hard to offer that service, obviously.
The Manager said it was his 'bad' !!! and wouldn't honour the Pub+ discount. Terrible unreasonable service
Won't be going back.

A big menu to choose from. Nice meal. The beauty is that there is a playground for kids. Excellent and thoughtful service, the staff is kindly setting us up to the table close to the playground that we can easily keep an eye on the kid while enjoying our meal.
