What an absolute gem! Stopped over in Townsville and needed a quick meal and was not disappointed. The staff were fantastic. Young Brooklyn at the restaurant was superb. The two young women at the bar were swift in their service and the atmosphere for a Thursday evening was buzzing.
I ordered 600g pork ribs with calamari topper and it was legit! 👌🏾

We went to the hotel last weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection to choose from on the menu. I chose the pumpkin salad, it was very tasty. My husband had Rump steak and it was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. No complaints from us,the meals were reasonably priced and I would recommend this venue for a good meal..🙂

We went there for father's day.
Meals came out quick and very tasty. The girls were helpful and very friendly .West End Hotel is the oldest hotel in Townsville.

Well our group increases in size from what I had booked 12 to16 the staff were great getting extra table and chairs set up for me.

Very Expensive ! The renovations look good but Beer Garden has lost its charm ! Lady on Bar understand what we were saying but we got our drinks in the end !

Very disappointing. Had to ask for bread rolls, baked potatoes in the salad bar not at all fresh, same with the broccoli and cauliflower dry and looks like could have been from dinner the previous day. Staff really couldn't care. Disappointing given past visits have been exceptional.

Solid old fashioned pub grub food. Got steak and chips special, asked for rare and good a perfectly cooked rare steak 🥩🥩 fantastic. Have a serve yourself salad bar which offered 3 salads, and the extras allowing you to make yr own salad. Warm veggies as well. Busy pub inside in the aircon. Dogs allowed out in the beer garden. Dog water bowls provided. Big TV for sport. Beer specials today were stone &wood $10, Larry pale ale, and Newtowner tinnies. Standard NQ beers on task. Strong recommend. Will be back.

I work nearby so eat here most weekdays. Prices are fair, food is always on point and staff are incredible and create a friendly and accomodating atmosphere without losing the rustic pub charm.

I had battered fish chips and salad. One mouth full of fish and I had to spit it out. The batter was sour and it was advertised as barra but I dont think it was. The salad bar was pathetic. When I said aboutthe fish. There was nothing from the chef or anyone else for that matter. I wont be going again

I had Barra and my friend had steak. I have not seen a more perfect steak in many years. Perfectly cooked and nice a pink.

I do enjoy a good Aussie pub, and to find a nicely presented premises in the heart of Townsville is quite a treat!, as usual I arrived late, but was greeted with friendly welcoming service in a very calm atmosphere, food and service were excellent and combined with a great bar, restaurant and beer garden this venue is highly recommended for all .. 👌

Great night at trivia. I just ordered the wrong food. It was ordinary. I did win $120 on the pokies. Very nice pub.

Good pub. Pretty quiet during the day. Went at night and had the best BBQ Ribs. Sunday I had the best Roast of the Day I've ever had apart from a home cooked meal.

For an establishment that has been around for so long, you'd think it would be better, the pork ribs have never seen a grill, boiled to death, and chips cooked when cyclone Althea was closing in. cold as. I'd give it 2 out of 10

For $30 for a parmy I don't think it's too much to ask for hot chips with your meal, instead of just barely warm ones that tasted like they were cooked yesterday. The parmy itself was ok.

Food was lovely. Shame we had a group of people and everyone had finished eating before 4 meals were even served. Waited 45 mins for fish when steak and chicken dishes came out within 15 mins. Won't be going back with a group that's for sure.

Food was great, 8 year old fussy eater requested a steak for the first time in his life after seeing someone else's.
Can't give higher praise than that, he loved it.

Good central venue recently upgraded with a good range of drinks and service

Appauling services. Not a busy Thursday night.
Tok 45 minutes to have food delivered
30mins for garlic bread. Which was burnt and hard.
When asked why so long for food. Was told not sure.
