What a shame….
First I’d like to note. Friendly staff and the food was nice, maybe a tad overpriced but still nice.
When we arrived for dinner I couldn’t believe how quiet it was and I soon understood why. First impressions were a really nice setting and place to eat. But as you look around you begin to see the place looks like it hasn’t had money put back into it in a while. Chairs due for replacement, paint work worn and due for a freshen up. Not to mention when I went into the change room to change my 4 month old, I literally had to use the torch light on my phone to see what I was doing. I’d love to see this place at its full potential because it could be fantastic.
Suggestions would be do a little maintenance around the place, drop the prices a tad to get people back in the doors and potentially look at the likes of doing nightly specials on different meals. I hope this feedback helps and again I’d love to see the place take off!!

We haven't been for a meal since new management took over. Went for dinner last night as the hotel is just down the road and we were pleasantly surprised. Great garlic prawn chicken snitty and rhe biggest crumbed steak i have ever seen. Good pepper sauce too. Very happy with our meals and will return. Soo good it has improved as there is nothing else out here at Westbrook.

We had a group booking for 15 recently. There were only several other people in the restaurant. Ordered at 7.30, didn't receive our meals until around 8.30. When we did, the kids schnitzels were way overcooked/blackened around the edges and my meal (rissoles & mash) was laughable - quite literally, everyone laughed when it was plated in front of me. I've seen meatballs bigger than the 3 "rissoles" plated and the mash and gravy were unpalatable. I was not the only one to think so as I had passed the plate around... the entire table was disgusted with what was perceived as a $20 meal. Oh, and the entree one of the other group members ordered was wrong but given it was getting late, they were all hungry and dealt with it.
The waitress we had also looked like she didn't want to be there, never cracked a smile, asked how the meals were or anything. No basic hospitality etiquette at all. Definitely will not be returning.
The only reason I've given 2 stars is because the other meals around the table were given the "mine was fine" status.

We arrived around noon, the woman that served us I’m not sure if she was the manager absolutely stared at myself my brother and partner and daughter the whole time was rude and hard to communicate to get a drink than the pool table broke down. Made us feel really uncomfortable and unwelcome horrible experience over all.

The Westbrook tavern is fantastic. Great local pub. The staff are friendly and helpful and the meals are great.

There was not much curry in my meal and my husband meal had veggies that were not cooked and first coffee we had were warm but they did make us new hot coffees

The duty manager on was rude never once said hello or acknowledge that you were even there. It felt like it was beneath her to serve you. The young girl Keisha was very nice. The floor had dirt plates glasses everywhere she stood behind the bar talking to a friend of hers. You would try and put on a bet she would stand at the end of the bar sipping her drink . Very dissatisfied

Standard tavern food and drink. The steak sandwich was pretty good. The staff were great. Would visit again.

Staff very friendly and quick to serve.
Food came out quickly and was well presented. The sirloin steak was cooked well and the salad garnishes were very nice. The parmigiana had a nice flavour however the schnitzel was very dry, tasted like it was cooked earlier and reheated.

Pictures tell a thousand words. Helen and her Colleagues are EXCELLENT and are welcoming to the Tavern.
As is the case in all situations where one uses their manners and shows respect they are only to willing to make your visit a good one.
The Staff interacted with all our family and we all had fun it was loud there was laughter and the rest of the guests didn't seam to mind.
The food is excellent and worth waiting alittle for.

Nice venue. Let down was the meals. Gravy was so watery it may as well have been soup. When one of the party mentioned to the waiter the crumbed steak was disappointing they laughed and walked off. In saying that the meatlovers pizza actually had meat on it which was a plus.

Kids meal - no juice available only softdrink. The nuggets were frozen on the inside still. Not cooked properly at all.
The famous steak sandwich was legit charcoal!!! Not eatable. The 300g rump steak, we asked for medium rare. It was dry, over cooked was completely under sized. We got up to leave and a staff member came over and asked how out food was. We replied with how unhappy we were and that it was horrible and explained. The staff member said "oh". And walked away with our plates.
Horrible service. Horrible cooks.
It's ashame as it could be a great family restaurant/pub if they get staff that want to work in customer service and chefs that can actually cook.

I would love to be able to support business close to where I live but as far as their bottle shop prices for a popular beer ( great northern original) go are absolutely disgusting. Maybe if you priced yourself a bit more competitive you would get more local support.

I think when a cook names a dish after themselves. You had better make sure that dish is exceptional. The famous Helens Rissoles should be renamed. To something like the Infamous Helens Criminal Rissoles. The vegetables were under cooked not even blanched properly, the gavey was loaded up with BBQ sauce to the point I had a bout of heart burn. I'm glad I carry Mylanta tablets with me. The mash potato was acceptable (just) and the best part of this meal. Rissoles very basic and bland also small.

Great place for lunch. The staff we very friendly, warm and inviting. We had the steak sandwich and hamburger which was so fresh with the steak melting in your mouth. The fries were crisp and tasty also.

EXCELLENT food and quick service! We had entrees and five mains at Saturday lunch and were very impressed with the half rack of ribs, good sized Parmis, Duck Spring Rolls and even the garlic bread!!
Great idea to have a kids room with a movie playing. Will definitely be back!

Crumbed chicken and steak were both very over cooked hard and dry.
The salad was just leaves and oil.

Absolutely Amazing Pub Feed. Will be back next time I'm in the area. Staff were friendly and welcoming as well.
