Westend pokies and the whole Westend market has changed alot since I was last here a few years ago. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere here is good.. I wish the market was open still.. the food at the Bristo is delicious and not to pricey.. I will be coming back here more often. Not for the pokies..

Went there for a friend's birthday dinner. They missed my dish, had to check with them 3 times before got my meal. When I started eating, all my friends had finished. It was a but frustrating. But the good thing is my meal was delicious.

We had dinner there on Saturday night. Haven't been there for a very long time. My daughter's chicken ceasear salad had to be sent back due to unwashed lettuce and then was returned both times with no dressing. My grandson's Hawaiian pizza came out plain, my husband meal was burnt on one side but mine was enjoyable. My husband didn't send his back as our wait was ridiculous and he was hungry by the time the food was served. Our son in-law said his food was ok. The staff were so friendly and helpful but the food and the waiting time was the problem. So the kitchen is what needs looking at. The prices are great as well but there are plenty of places around where I can eat when I'm hungry.

Today I went to 5 different pokie venues, they are Palms, Westend Market, Ashley Hotel, The club and Deer Park Club. Among those 5 venues, Westend Market is one of the top 3 pokie venues I highly recommend.
Reason 1: Easy parking.
Reason 2: Clean and neat indoor environment.
Reason 3: Staff member Christine is friendly and accommodating.
Reason 4: Coffee is available for free. Love that.
Reason 5: There are popular dragon link, lightning link and storm link slot machines for us to choose from. The progressive grand jackpot on storm link has been over $50000, which is crazy.
I will go there again to play the pokies for fun. Today I cashed in $5, played the dragon link, 1 cent denom, 50 lines, 50 cents a spin, cashed out $16, not bad!

Thought I would pop in to Westend market hotel after a few years. Sad to say service has not changed and still shocking. Looked at menu, staff member said no meals on Monday only hot bar snacks. Bought a schooner of beer ,no thank you or anything. These people are destroying businesses. Message for Westend get some friendly staff.

This is a Vogon outpost where the only thing more hideous than the building is the staff. Comically the only door which is open is sign posted 'hotel entrance' with a large inviting photo of people eating a meal but it goes straight onto the gaming floor which means your attempt to find a family table becomes a major security incident in which the kids are pushed out.
Sometimes five stars is not enough to express how excellent a venue is. But this is the first time I regret having a minimum rating of one star, which is an over-valuation of about two. The staff and clientele appear to be on the verge of discovering dial up Internet so I doubt this review will be the deterrent the general public needs.

They don't allow you to reserve your machine which is just ridiculous bc there's a good chance of losing the machine youre feeding when you get up for a bathroom break or if you do this while there's money still in it there's also a chance you'll find it gone when you get back. This happened last night to a patron who got up to get a refreshment from the bar...poor bloke had $300 taken by a low life thief and I think it's avoidable when you have a big reserve sign over the screen then not.

The venue looks and feels unclean. It needs a good professional face lift. Preventing patrons from "taking at shower" in the mens toilets would be good. The female gaming attendant working this morning was very good. She showed some personality and had a smile on her face. Having two pub sized pool tables at the venue is a real bonus and positive, allowing gamblers to take a break from the electronic gaming machines and play a game of pool instead.

The dining area is huge and was very quiet on a Thursday, the Parma with chips and veggies was real good, but somehow it had a stench of weed inbuilt into the carpet, very strange. Very limited beer choices but overall goes ok, would probably return at a time and day when they do cheap parmas. Not a bad place, but nothing entirely outstanding either.

Suprisingly modern inside, very chill and friendly staff, sport is on the big screen, pool tables, cheap as drinks. Really good spot for a local chill out.
Sad there was nothing but fried food on the menu for a Saturday night. I can understand why completely, staffing costs etc. But yeah was super keen for one of those great looking schnittys. Otherwise had a great time though.

Staff a very rude. If you are into losing your money, mixing with dug users & dealers and all other types of criminals, them it is the place for you.
Staff are not sensitive to people with mental health issues. They also don't care when someone is defrauded out of there pension on there premises by one of there customers. What ever you do don't find a wallet on the floor or you will be accused of theft

Staff are good. But the venue, needs to stop with the false/misleading advertising that they close at 5am, when really they stop allowing entry by 430, and kick everyone out at 445. Adjust your times or doors open until it's actually 5am.

Not to bad of a pokies venue but the atmosphere is a bit on the low side even the guy at the door at first I thought he was either a homeless guy or just someone who was always blowing his pay then having to wait allllll week if it was a bit more lit up some chill music and the door guy was dressed half decent even if you lost you'd still walk out with a smile

No meals despite the state coming out of lockdwon and clear signals stating meals were available. Very poor and clearly they are only interested in servicing poky players. The staff were very helpful and tried to do what they could but management should take a long hard look at themselves.

Lovely staff, excellent coffee and as a bonus I got up on the pokies finally. Not too crowded, Bathrooms were fairly clean and sterile looking. Overall happy customer, I will definitely be returning. Also the parking is huge so close enough that I don't get wet In the rain but enough space that I hate having to worry about someone putting a dent in my car. Lol

It is not appropriate for the blonde female staff member with short hair to shout at patrons waiting extended periods of time for their meals. If the venue cannot cater to meals that are needed on a tight timeframe they should not accept such events as WPP. Disgraceful service and attitude towards patient patrons

I have been to lot of nightclubs in Melbourne and this is the best Club i have ever seen. Dance floor was big: welcomes everyone and awesome DJ. Girls will be highly secured as the security is really good. Drinks are Pretty cheap as-well. As i have to drive home i just end up having 2 drinks and they have a good deal for first timers, Entry is $10 and you will get 2 free drinks which means i just spend $10 for both entrance and drinks and this is the first night club of my whole life where i spend very less. It is highly recommend to go for frequent visits. Next week will go and have unlimited drinks.

Great Hotel for Gaming, has a good number of machines, and a fairly generous variety of games. The gaming room is open late till 6am, which is useful if you want a late Friday or Saturday night, the drinks bar is open inline with the gaming room, and has a good range of Beverages at a reasonable price. There are also lounge areas, and comfy sofas to relax in. Has TAB betting machines available throughout the venue and a sports betting area. Have not used the bistro, but I believe there is one available to use for lunch & dinner times, but obviously not open all night to 6am like the gaming area.

CHEAT! DISHONEST!
Last week I went to the website to see the menu. Saw there were $8.90 parma meals Monday Tuesday. Perfect. Got to the front, massive poster with the meals advertised for $8.90. I planned to have all my group dinners there. Nice space. Huge. Service was good. But then I paid for my meal and it was $17.50 each. I asked why, the girl said the sign was misleading because that meal only applies to the gaming room. Key takeaway: even SHE said it was misleading. Just checked website again and doesn't mention its at the gaming room and not the Bistro, where food is usually served. These dishonest business people need to be called out. Hopefully they improve. No wonder other pubs are doing so well around the area.

Carpark at late hours of the night here can be not for the faint hearted lol trust me when I say I've seen it all here.
But totally redeemable when you try the devine DIY coffee/hot chocolate machine! This badboy cranks out the meanest free coffees/hot chocs ive EVER had- better yet... beats nearly every paid for hot drinks ive gotten also!
