Wests has some ambience and it does have a range of eating options. Yet it’s also an annoying game every time where you deal with hard-of-hearing security who insist it’s “the law” that you have to show a license on entry. Not that i am opposed to membership, I am simply opposed to untruths. The law is actually that if you live outside 5kms they cannot unreasonably deny you entry as a guest, not that if you live within 5kms it’s “the law” you must be a member. Ok, maybe trite, but I get tired of them trotting out this line constantly. Just say you require people to be a member if they live within 5kms but the law allows guests outside of 5kms - don’t blame it on “the law.”
Anyhow, I digress. It’s mostly pleasant inside with a variety of food options.

West's has become the favourite venue for family celebrations, with easily the best steakhouse in Newcastle. Chophouse grill once again stepped up with perfectly mouth watering dishes, nobody was left unsatisfied. Even the kids menu is fitting for fine dining.

West is a very big place hadn't been there for some time. We ate in the Chinese restaurant .it was very good. Great service. Parking is easy and it is disabled friendly so that's good to .we will go back again.

Well what a great place to visit little secret Gem ... Food was outstanding very fresh and large serving fast services and very friendly staff in the bistro .. walked around the establishment very clean . With staff welcoming throughout the club .. lots pokies if you needing to have a punt . Accommodation was very clean and staff accommodating to my needs 😁 nice rooms and had parking . Will definitely be coming back thank you for the great stay 🙏

Used to go once a week before covid19.Since they reopened the food court, it's pretty bad food and not as much variety. Upstairs the Chocolate Cafe has closed which is a real loss for the public, they had Ice cream,coffee, desserts etc. The cafe in the eatery area is very poor for choice. The poor selection of cakes etc is all obviously purchased frozen and lacks true taste. Pretty bed experience at the Chop house upstairs too. We had a special celebration dinner and found the menu to be very limited and far too expensive for what you actually get. The food was no better than if we cooked on the bbq at home. The Chinese restaurant is amazing! Great friendly service and a really extensive menu. Very expensive, so it does limit the ability to go regularly, however when you do go, it's really worth it. My overall thoughts are: I'm regretting re joining as a member due to how quickly it's gone downhill. Be great if more options available to eat and more of the events and bands catered for 40yr olds!! Seems to be a huge pokie machine trade! Huge disappointment.

'Upmarket' local club, with hotel and conference facilities.
Several options for eating and drinking with different levels of pricing, and all have great service, good quality food, and excellent staff.

Tried to order special as advertised on large banner by the bistro. Not a member so had to pay double. On the banner there was NO mention of members only. In very small writing on small advertisement behind the servery. The price for the meal was expensive and not value for money

Staying at Executive Inn, walked across foyer to club. Too easy. All club venues were lovely. Bistro menu so big! So many choices. Staff so helpful to visitors

Regularly visit emporium 88 cafe at wests new lambton. Great coffee and plenty of snacks to choose from. Staff give excelkent service

Pleasurable stay , much enjoyed the facilities and staff so friendly , oh the food court was totally awesome , loved it entirely

New renovations are very stylish but the Bistro meals were below par. Visited for lunch and found the meals too expensive, too large and you do not have a choice of veggies any more. The roast beef was tender but fatty and the Yorkshire pud was inedible. The cobb salad was good but far too much lettuce. Don't think we will be back for a meal unless the chef ups his game and maybe introduces a choice of smaller servings.

Love the club BUT, ate rissoles at the bistro .Who makes them yuk plus I got mashed potato and a 1/2 a plate of green peas.Wish I had taken a photo .

It's just OK. Service at breakfast was painful and not very professional. Constantly had to flag someone down. Food was good, not bad and not great.

Haven't eaten at West's in years. We used to go all the time. Thought we'd finally try it after the renovations and it's so good. I got a salad and holy moly they didn't skimp. Good stuff.

Haven't been for a long time and was a little shocked to see all the different eateries gone. We still had a very nice lunch at the Bistro and drinks were a good price. Had a slap on the pokies and got a free cappuccino while playing which was a bonus. The Emerald Gardens restaurant is highly recommended. The $40 banquet is well worth it and you will definitely not walk away hungry. Chocolate bar is still upstairs as well.

First class to stay and play. Great location. Disappointed the Chinese in the food hall was closed Sunday but the meals in the bistro are brilliant.

Fantastic club Huge, the staff inside the club working on different floors are brilliant super clean quick service
Except Leonie that works on the front desk in the entrance is very rude
