We visited the club tonight just in time for the raffles. Did not win a thing. Not to worry. Had dinner at the bistro I had battered fish and chips and my wife had the rump steak with Dianne sauce. Could not ask for a better meal. Will definitely be going back. Well worth the trip

We play free trivia there every Wednesday night. Have dinner at Star Maker Cafe beforehand. The staff are great. Trudie behind the bar is a gem. Marty, who hosts trivia, is great too. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Another beaut night at Wests' Diggers

This is a small club but with big facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful and the Cafe has great food - watch out for their specials. I had a very nice Roast Lamb with vegetables and gravy meal. There is parking around and you can see country music memorabilia on the walls. It is well worth a visit if you are in the area.

The staff at this venue are so friendly and welcoming.
Their meals are massive and well worth the effort dining in.
Over 3 levels, you have a cafe with an extensive bar menu, pokies and a function space plus robust bar upstairs.
Drinks are solid and affordable.
We will definitely return!

Some of the most unfriendly staff in Tamworth. Go to Diggers in town instead. Way friendlier staff.

Smokey’s for Dinner
From the friendly greeting from Di at reception to William’s service in the restaurant what can i say. Country hospitality at it finest.
Meals superb. The wife’s ribs melted and my BBQ brisket with the to die for mushroom sauce, we both walked away satisfied. Thank you both.

Show me your money, as that's what they're after. It's all about the gambling dollar, every way you turn.
My rump steak started as a wonderful piece of meat. Ordered it medium and there was a one square inch that was as I ordered, which was delightful. The rest was way overcooked.

My favourite club... Always try and go when in Tamworth. The main bar is more like you'd expect in a quality city or holiday destination hotel.

Great RSL club, fine selection of meals on menu, nicely priced drinks, plenty of parking. Can't ask for much more

Great greeting when we arrived ,we both had a great parmigiana one with salad one with vegetables and were above expectations for the price which was well below the average for Tamworth, would recommend to pop in for lunch like we did, prompt service was definitely a plus

Great atmosphere, love that the place has a large outdoor area. Unfortunately only has 1 Cafe open when we visited so had no dine in meals here.

Fri night meal was a good size and we enjoyed.Recommended it to our friends for Sat night as we went back-fortunately they went elsewher e. We were disappointed with the size- a small electrical fire+we were evacuated to car park.Returned to hubby's half eaten dinner (cold)I'd already eaten mine-so small! It must depend on the chef on the night.

Food is delicious. We were downstairs. Complements to the Chef. Staff welceoming & pleasant. Creates the right atmosphere.

Dropped in for quick lunch over Easter as I was a tourist from out of town. Ordered lasagne. Meal arrived comprising 3/4 plate of chips, lettuce and a few cherry tomatoes. It turns out the small piece of soggy lasagne was prepackaged and that's the way the club receives it. Very average meal and would not recommend if travellers are looking for a reasonable meal in Tamworth.

Dinning room up stairs the meal there was not very nice most of the food as cold and I think was quite dear in cost

Club food as expected. The breakfast is nice (if staying at the Mercure). Decent selection of beers of tap with a nice outdoor area and large screen for watching sport. Free club shuttle from venue will take you in to town. Book first.

Celebrated Nat's b'day early with a few games of pool, good fun, Nat had some bubbles, 1st time in months & I got a chocolate shake, in the middle of the afternoon. Really relaxing couple of hours greatly appreciated.

Bought a large takeaway BBQ Cicken Pizza,. Worst pizza ever. Base was undercooked with hardly any cheese on it. Pretty tasteless. Because it was takeaway, too far to take it back after driving home. 🙁
