Wow!! Nowhere near the usual pub meal!! Go in expecting reasonable prices for extremely generous quantities of top quality Aussie tucker, great variety, comfortable seating, quiet yobbo free atmosphere and a well stocked bar. Don't miss it - the locals love it!!

Went to a birthday party at the Tavern, it was catered for. The food came out, no plates, no serviettes or serving utensils. We had to go and find serviettes so we had something to put the food on and use our fingers to serve the food. Staff rude, even one staff member entered into a conversation between two people and the conversation had nothing to do with them. Also, it was noted that a staff member went to the male toilet and left without washing their hands so naturally we made sure we were not served by that staff member. The Tavern should review their actions. Very disappointing.

Went there new years eve to be met with a barman that was rude,arragant and more interested in his hourly wage I would of spent plenty but felt like I wasn't welcome to the point of wanting to ask him into the parking lot. I have made it my new years resolution not to go here as better service is offered on the gutter.

We decided to have lunch here after having heard via the grapevine that they serve great meals. I purchased a chicken Parma with salad and my wife had Thai beef salad. To be honest The Parma was the best that I have had in years and the salad was fresh as well as tasty. Unfortunately the Thai salad was in need of a bit more dressing as my wife said it was a bit dry. The Tavern itself is ok but lacks character.

Very nicely refurbished. We chose lunch from the specials board. Works Steak Sandwich and chips. Lamb stroganov and rice.

Very diappointed. Ordered ribs and got a fatty rump steak. Ordered it med rare and it came out medium. Ordered pepper sauce, and got no sauce. I told the girl at the counter. Her response? "Oh ok". Doesn't apologise, doesn't offer to refund the difference. They also managed to cook another person in our parties steak well done (with the sticker saying well done) when she asked for medium.
Then the mudcake came out. No wonder it is served with ice cream and cream, its so dry it must have been sitting in the fridge for two weeks. Either that or they defrosted it for a week in the fridge and took off the paper that helps keep it from drying out.
Overall, highly disappointed.

They allow smoking outside the front door which blows directly into the eating area. Food was very nice but expensive

The pub itself here is great, feels like a good old qld pub, has a jukebox, pool tables and huge amount of seating. Unfortunately the kitchen was out of action on this occasion. Has a more than ample kids play area also.

The pizzas are cheesy. Burger if good. Great serving sizes. Delicious meals. Schnitzel was really big and wasn’t able to finish it all. Good place for birthdays and special events.

The food was awesome 👍 the staff super friendly (waited a little to long but that's okay was worth it)
The tables and chairs need updating and the heaters outside needed gas.
Overall great go eat there.

Pretty average menu, not flexible to suit requests. Ordered something, paid, and 5 minutes later was told it’s not available. Re-ordered something else and only later realized there was quite a price difference so I had to go back up and ask about it. They did refund me.
“Chicken tenders” came out as deep fried chicken pieces which were unfortunately way over cooked, on a big stack of chips. I asked for veg and got salad.
Just a series of issues that made for a less than desirable experience.

over an hour to get my meal and it was under done and cold .
No table service .first impressions last so sadly for the westside I won't be back

Only had a quick drink and met up with friends however the beautiful aroma of steak was extremely tempting, will be back again in the next few weeks to see if it's as good as or even better still, better than it was last time we ate here before they closed from COVID.

One of the BEST pub meals I have ever had. Generous portions and very tasty. Customer service wasnt great but that wouldn't stop me from going again.

Maryborough can get hot, and it was very warm on the day of my visit. But some innovative people must work here as they had water misting devices set up all around the back undercover area. And it was pretty effective.
We had small people with us, so sat beside the playground. The shade was much appreciated and the kids loved the playground.
The two young women serving in the bar were a delight. They were happy to discuss drink options and even rescued a wayward balloon.
Not so happy in the kitchen - it must be too hot.
If you are asked for extra cutlery what the heck is the problem with that?
Meals were a mixture. Our 10 year old didn't like the burger but the chips were amazing according to all of us.
My whiting was wonderful. Sweet, moist and crumb was just right. A bit more salad would of been nice.
The pub classic - chicken parmigiana- was disappointing. Cooked just a little too long it was a tad dry. But the garlic sauce was great.
The lasagne was very good. We all tasted it and agreed it was up to our best cook's standard.
So you get the idea - a bit hit and miss.
But I would not hesitate to go back. That desert bar at $7 for all you can eat is a challenge I must take up one day. Very yummy things included but again, the soft-serve icecream was not pleasant at all.
One last thing - the serving sizes are generally very large. The roast of the day looked amazing and the small for $13 is good value.
Westside Tavern is worth a visit.

Make sure you come hungry because the meals are huge!!
We were all very happy with our meals, with my favourite being the entree calamari and parmie. Delicious.
Great outdoor seating area with comfortable seating, cool breeze and kids playground.
Seems popular with the locals as it was busy but the service was still quick.

Hello, I am the husband mentioned a review or 2 ago on 23 October.
My meal was truely superb! I ordered one of the specials for the evening, the blackened tusk fish fillet with the lime bechamel sauce.
It was a very generous fillet, none of the 200g nonsense you get with salmon, it was a fillet from a good sized fish.
The flesh was firm, moist and flavoursome. The sauce was a great accompaniment. This was a memorable meal. Thanks for something so special.

Great place for the family and after work. Good menu with great outdoor settings suitable for family eating. Lively place on a Saturday night, usually have music and no shortage of drinkers looking for what they seek. --- Plenty of accommodation for travelers. Good place all round.

First time visit again for a meal after the bistro was closed since COVID19. My wife and I had a great meal, the food was tasteful, well cooked and large in size. Had a nice evening out and it was good to see the place slowly spring back to life again. Will definitely return.

Few patrons on a week day when we were there..food definetly very acceptable for the price.Cool,clean, relaxing beer garden tavern atmosphere. Great for large table gatherings as well.⚘👌

Always good pub food. Good atmosphere. Comfortable. Good parking. Entrance to the pub a little tricky-have to use a petrol station entry to arrive. Way ahead of the rest of the pubs in Maryborough.
