We went to eat here the other day. We didn't though . Lovely lady to seat us down in a jetsons style restaurant. The atmosphere wasn't cosy at all. And we weren't feeling the menu . After reading reviews we thought we would just leave. We weren't willing to spend to risk it as many reviews were bad.

Went with a friend for dinner over the weekend and the food was delicious. Can't imagine having a better steak. It was done to perfection and definitely worth the money spent. The atmosphere and the service was great too. The place definitely exceeded my expectations in all areas.

Well came here for a birthday party and WOW, just wow. Food was ok although not as hot as I'd of liked my stake. The staff sent a meal to the wrong table and so one of us had to wait for another meal after an hr it was received. Nothing stand out about the food. The service was shocking or good depending on what you like, you can order via a QR code and pay via the service or go-to the bar, probably easier via the QR code when it's busy. The atmosphere is dated and reminded me of a kath n Kim TV set than a top notch pub. Still it is what it is and remember this was my experience and your experience may differ

Unfortunately this was an absolute disappointment. We had a large group and most of the dishes were not finished. Fish and chips: batter oily and heavy with the fish dry Steak sandwich: meat dry and no other sauce than mayo and tomato sauce. Bao buns: dry and too much smoky bbq sauce. Even our kids were complaining about the dryness of their burger. Very sad to see considering we paid so much.

This is a lovely place to eat. However, service needs improvement. We ordered a seniors 2 course meal but had to chase up the desert and had to ask for our table to be cleared 20 mins after finishing our meal.

The entree of Italian pizza and calamari were good but the mains were average to say the least. Everything is DIY , asking for plates, ordering drinks, cleaning up. Very under staffed too. The mains didn’t come out at the same time and the vegetables were cold and they got the orders wrong. steak for $49 was average and food not great overall. The staff tried hard but need to improve the kitchen. Overall kids loved the playground was the only good thing. Won’t be coming back ever again sorry.

Our usual Sunday after games lunch. This place we made reservation a week ago as we wanna try their parma and afraid the place is packed. Service & Ambience [3]. A bit confusing while trying to find the restaurant. Went straight after the entrance, a lady asked if we have made reservation. Yes, and were told to head up. There is a lift, but we skip as I am sure is the slowest lift up one level. Stairs up quicker. We read about the nice view - looking far away yes. Near are the car parks. Ordering - well if you have never been to a pub, am sure you will wonder where to order. There are different order area - one for drinks and the other for food. Food counter only one staff so there's a wait. Then at the drink counter, getting a bottle of tap water also got to queue. Well there are new glasses on counter top but no water bottle so got to ask. The place seems noisy. So if you want to have quite and peaceful meal then not here. Family with kids, birthday celebration. You know how it goes. Food [3]. Alright, their parma wasn't the best. The pizza for that price is small and perhaps meant for kid. We thought we can share. Burger, like me see. I preferred Betty Burger taste better. Steak is okay. Something positive - overall bill has no weekend surcharge or did they miss? Cash payment if you want to avoid the card surcharges.

Our dinner at the Wheelers Hill Hotel was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were enveloped by a warm atmosphere that immediately made us feel welcomed. The hotel staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. They met every request with a smile, truly embodying the spirit of exceptional hospitality. The bar is beautifully designed, boasting modern amenities melded with traditional charm. Lighting is soft and perfect, setting a calming and inviting atmosphere. The couches are the epitome of comfort, dressed in high-quality fabric that provided a splendid comfortable environment . In fact, every aspect of the venue screamed of careful and thoughtful design, from the ample car parking spaces to the stunning view from our window. The culinary journey that the hotel's restaurant offers is an absolute delight. Each dish was a harmony of flavours, exquisitely prepared and presented, showcasing the freshest local ingredients. It served as a riveting gastronomic adventure that catered to our diverse palates. Location-wise, the hotel couldn't be better situated. It afforded us easy access to the bustling wheelers hill and Glen Waverley's multitude of attractions without compromising our desire for serene solitude. Overall, our meals at the Wheelers Hill Hotel was a testament to the merit of its glowing reviews. We highly recommend Wheelers Hill Hotel to anyone seeking a unique and memorable lunch or dinner.

Our child had their birthday party here recently. Maryam & the staff were fantastic, providing such good service! The kids had so much fun in the indoor play area. Each child got their own party pack of hot food, with drinks & fairy bread to share. Lolly bags and an ice cream cake were also provided! Two platters were pre-ordered for the parents to share, which had generous servings and the cheese platter was presented beautifully. Would definitely recommend this venue for a kid's birthday party! 🎂😊

Not recommended for families with children As a family with young children, we were initially delighted to find a restaurant that not only served delicious food but also provided a fun playground for our kids to enjoy. The restaurant has two sections – one on the first floor with the playground, and another on the ground floor with slot machines, which we later discovered was an adults-only area. Our visit started off great, with our meals arriving in a timely manner and everyone enjoying their dishes. Unfortunately, our experience took a turn for the worse on two occasions. First, when we wanted to take our leftovers home, the restaurant informed us that they did not have any containers to provide for takeaway, which was quite disappointing considering the portion sizes and the fact that we had paid for our meals. The second issue occurred when our young child, not knowing the ground floor area was off-limits, ran towards the adults-only section. We followed him, unaware of the restriction, and were looking around when a waitress started screaming at us that we shouldn't be in that area, as it would get them in trouble. Our son was scared and upset by her behavior. Upon leaving the restricted area, we expressed our concerns to another staff member, suggesting a gate to prevent such situations. However, he responded in a rude manner, telling us to read the sign, which was placed at a height that made it difficult to notice. While the food and service in the main dining area were commendable, the lack of takeaway containers, along with the poor handling of the adults-only area and the unpleasant behavior of the staff, left us feeling disappointed and unwelcome. In conclusion, while we appreciate the restaurant's effort to cater to families with its playground, we feel that their policies and staff behavior need improvement. Until these issues are addressed, we cannot wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to other families.

More of a traditional club feel than pub. Food was good with vegetarian options, big menu! QR code ordering if you are into that. Great views from the bistro. Midweek lunch relatively busy but not crowded.

Large family pub with a huge play area for kids. Service could be much better, possibly short staffed? Food was ok for a pub (baos were a bi dry, ditto the burgers). Garlic bread was good though. Lots of parking though, so really easy for big family meets.

It’s been some time since i was here but decided to come here for dinner last Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised that this place has improved significantly with their food. The last time I came here, their Parma was dreadful because it was actually one of those sandwich schnitzels from woolies deli (it appears my last review has since been deleted as it was that bad 😂). anyway, this time the Parma was really good and decent size using real chicken and it was freshly cooked, the salad was good and substantial and the chips was hot and crispy albeit i would have preferred if they use the thicker steak style chips. The price was reasonable and in line with other pubs. Service was also good and efficient with meals served quickly albeit it wasnt the busiest that i’ve seen in this place. Overall, a vast improvement and worthwhile coming back if they maintain or keep improving their standards.

Great team working on the lower level of Wheeler's Hill Hotel. I thank the staff who man the lower section of the hotel for their friendly and polite services, bar an individual whom I encounter and who I hope will improve in his service. Otherwise service and food in the bistro is good. Abundance of parking

Great place for kids with an lovely and extensive meal. The stand out however has been the service especially from Declan who has gone above and beyond to make sure we have been looked after. It's unfortunately not that often that we get to experience good old fashioned customer service-well done to this establishment for hiring such amazing staff!

Great food enjoyable afternoon Only disappointment was with all the glass facing into our seating area made it a bit uncomfortable. Some Sort of blinds on all the glass would have made it more comfortable as Umbrellas 🌂 didn't really do the job.

Good food, reasonable prices. The main attraction is the view, which is astounding. Panoramic views through the north side of the bistro. There is a huge kids indoor play area which makes for a relaxing night for mum and dad.

Good family pub. Service was good, cocktails are well priced, kids enjoyed the play place. Unfortunately though my burger was drowned in aioli and the patty was undercooked - but other burgers were cooked well. Not what you want for the price you pay but everyone else enjoyed their meals

First time back to visit after several years, we were pretty impressed. Service was friendly and efficient, given how busy it was. Menu offered a good variety of meals, however the lobster specials were the highlight. They were a good size with a decent amount of meat on them so good value. There were other menu items that caught my eye...will definitely consider returning again soon. All in all a good night had by all with the family. Keep it up!!

Came over the weekend with a larger booking. Exactly what we want in a local pub! The manager was able to accomodate accessibility needs and the food was amazing. And the Pink Panther cocktail was delicious. Our little ones absolutely loved the playground! Will 100% be returning in the near future.

Came for today dinner with my friend , have a order Parma and steak 🥩 , Food was average but bar supervisor lady name Steph is super rude no smile on face , looks like she not happy to take order , once I place order she never say please and to much attitude on face , It was not much busy today Still she was not able to help us for find table I was regular customer for them but now they lost us , If this pubs need successful in town they need to hire good and professional waiter with small and good attitude There is lots of places in town which are very cheap and they have best customer service I don't recommend anyone go there if they want to get insult from staffs they can go there , Also Parma was not cooked properly chips was cold it is not worth spend $90 dollar for meal Bad customer service and average food The food use to be good but I think they change chef that's why quality below down They reduce chicken Parma size and also with steak they did not provide mushroom 🍄 sauce They have not provided any cutlery and napkins to use I picked my self everything so bad customer service I asked Good luck everyone who is going there for dinner or lunch .

A decent menu with a diverse range. Extensive drinks list, but wines can be really expensive ($16 for a large glass of Pepperjack). The chicken Parma is nice, but the mashed potato was dreadful - felt like that powder mixture. Grilled fish nice, and the cheeseburger was ok. Good kids play area and great views. Can get really busy.

6 months ago there was a review from josique of the roast potatoes tasting stale. We went there today for lunch and ordered the roast pork everything was good except the potatoes. They also were not peeled (which wasn’t the problem ) They were grey on the inside, dry. But tasted like they had either been in the fridge for weeks or had been recooked over and over, they were actually disgusting,we told the waitress who offered some fries to go with our roast. You really need to change the way you cook your potatoes They were inedible. Seriously they were rank. And baby corn out of a tin does not go with a pork roast. Your menu really does need an overhaul. The necessary steps would be to change your chef,as reading comments nothing has changed. Also as soon as I walked in I couldn’t help notice the musty smell. The place needs a good air out. I wouldn’t recommend or go back.
