Went with my son for dinner. He enjoyed his meal but I had the Stroganoff which didn't have much flavour. Pleasant atmosphere & friendly staff.

Security on a power trip.
We came for one or two drinks to catch up with friends.
Two males and three females in total.
Both males were refused entry at first.
We asked why and no explanation.
Security then spoke inside to other staff.
We were all eventually let in.
We were warned if we cause trouble look out.
Security then continued to watch us and everything we did including one male going to the toilet and us sitting quietly playing the pokies.
We felt like criminals and very uncomfortable.
As soon as we had all finished our drinks we left.
We will never return.

Ordered a simple burger that, after 40min of waiting and watching others who ordered after me getting meals, I cancelled ....needless to say I won't be back

Nice meal and staff. Lounge/dining area ambience felt a little cold. Sound seems to travel and vouces were very loud. Could hear the conversations around you

My wife and I regularly went to the windermere for a meal and a drink. For the first time tonight I was refused a double bourbon which I always had just the one. I was told I could order as many single bourbon and cokes I want but could not have a double with coke. Also could not have a single shot of bouble if I was buying a coke and bourbon. Last time we will be going to the windermere. I can only assume they make more by making you buy singles.

Meals were very good, not too expensive and the restaurant was modern and clean. Staff friendly and efficient.

Lovely meals. Didn't seem to be enough staff- but all who were there were very friendly and worked hard to keep everyone happy!
Go around back for main entrance and parking!

I'm not comfortable with the older gentleman behind the bar where you eat food. Everytime we go in there with my girlfriend they make her feel extremely uncomfortable with their dirty remarks. Not good enough. Especially the guy with the bald head. I can record it next time if needed.

I had lunch there about 2 years ago and recall that it was pleasant enough. However, on Saturday, a counter tea of seafood linguine was not enjoyable at all - I thought I would be unwell if I ate it all. In all, it was quite disappointing as I was entertaining a friend from Melbourne. I won't be hurrying back.

I am a regular customer of this pub now I can say the quality of food change a lot. The food is getting worst, horrible and we wait too much for our food.

Hotel atmosphere was good however ordered Lunch meal and after waiting 50 minutes, checked with staff meal being prepared. After waiting a further 10 minutes without meal arriving, finished drink and left without eating, unable to comment on quality.

Had a tasty meal there which, despite the restaurant being virtually empty, took 40+ minutes to arrive... but worth the wait.. delicious

Great service! Awesome Food! Good prices! Why go anywhere else? We stayed in Bendigo for 2 nights and had dinner here on both nights. Smoked Cod and vegetables for me and Lamb's Fry and Bacon for my husband. Both meals were like my mum used to make! Bread and Butter pudding for dessert. Seniors meals were varied and cheap. 2 courses for $19! What more could you want? The "standard" meals were varied and reasonably priced as well as some Blackboard Specials.

Great friendly pub with pokies, a bar, fantastic coffee, and delicious desserts. There is plenty of parking across the road.

Great atmosphere, staff are pleasant, service is excellent. I, and many others, have been at the Windermere for lunch at least once a month for several years and I suggest that the menu needs an update, would love to see some new dishes. A couple more vegetarian dishes would be appreciated.

Food was nice kids nuggets being only 4 nuggets for the price most places have 6 nuggets plus kids weren't full so had to order a 2nd lot to fill them up

Dropped in yesterday for lunch, whilst in Bendigo. Amazing service, very friendly atmosphere. Lovely food. Would definitely stop her again when I'm in town.

Bar service was very slow to much talking.
Meal was quick coming out but seemed like my steak was cut in half not very big and I ordered medium to well it was rare veggies seemed to be sitting to long. Even though I ate it it was one of the worst meals I have had there.
I have been disappointed with a meal there before but nothing to write a bad review about.
Sorry I have to say this but someone has too.
Look f o reward to your feedback. Just noticed add photo I should of taken one.
One more thing we do stop in to play the pokies when we are there and some of the loudness and swearing going on is terrible.
People with no respect for others including females and friends should be told or removed
It's not up to us to move to another machine or we shouldn't have to say anything. Your staff should be on top of something like that.

As visitors to Bendigo for the weekend we selected this Hotel for our group of 6 for dinner and we hit the jackpot. The decor is lovely, the staff very friendly and they provided excellent service and went above and beyond to keep the kids happy. The meals were beautiful. We will definitely come back again and recommend to others 👌
