We often drop in for a quick meal after a particularly long challenging day at work. The beer is always cold which most times Which is usually happy hour when we arrive 👍 the meals are awesome - large and tasty- and at $9- very affordable.

We have had a group get together here a couple of times and always find the staff friendly and helpful ..we have been looked after very well . If platters are needed they serve beautiful food . Many thanks to all staff

We didn't stay in the hotel, but dined at the very popular restaurant. For the price, this place serves up some very nice basic meals. They have a salad bar and a limited selection of desserts. The sundaes are well worth it. Generally no complaints around the table. The service was ok, and they have a licensed bar, so nice to be able to have a beer with your meal.

We arrived on a bad day with recent rain having flooded the front bar. However the staff went out of their way to feed us. The beer was cold, the meals adequate, being pub food everything came with chips and gravy.

Waited awhile to get dinner because it was very busy, but staff were apologetic and also the meal was pretty worth it for a pub meal. Nice spaced out gaming room and good priced drinks. Clientele was anywere from young to old. Not bad place to have a quick beer and pub lunch.

These photos do not do justice to this venue. I accidentally started eating and drinking them before I realised I MUST leave a review.
The food is very well priced, and delicious, BUT the main reason I'm leaving this review is to compliment on the warm staff's cheerful and friendly service.
Kelby made me a delicious cocktail, that was so good, I had to get a second.
Liv was so smiley and easy going, cracking jokes as we ordered our food and made us feel very welcome.
Lachlan came to check if we were happy while we ate, and was personable and engaging 🥰
Thank you for showing us amazing customer service, and for the delicious meal

The meals used to be awesome! Best steak I'd had anywhere! The bar staff were amazing! Went there this week and the meals were TERRIBLE! I ordered rare steak with garlic sauce, I got very well done steak with AIOLI as the "garlic sauce". My son said he was never getting grilled fish again and then I tasted it and it was RAW!!! The bar staff were VERY apologetic and gave us a round of drinks and had the meals remade. I requested a chicken snitzel for my son instead of the fish (my daughter had it and was happy with it), what came out wasn't the same as my daughter's, instead of a breast fillet, it was some paper thin chicken in crumbs with soooo much oil! My second steak was still not rare, it was medium/well and a terrible cut, but I did get garlic sauce the second time. Salad bar was good. Bar staff wonderful. Pity they lost their last chef who could cook an $8 steak better than a hogs breath steak!! We won't be back in a hurry!

The beer garden is the perfect spot to be. I got the chef's special and I'm happy I did., I was impressed by the sweet and sour pork, which was just as good, if not better, than anything from a Chinese restaurant.

Spoke to a local who told us to go to the Young Australian Hotel bistro for the mid-week $7.00 steak, chips & salad bar special for lunch. My husband had the steak & I had the $7.00 chicken schnitzel special & it was delicious. Freshly cooked to order, piping hot with tasty chips & the salad bar although a bit plain, was good. There is wheelchair access into the hotel from side entrances & there is a wheelchair accessible toilet in the bistro. There is beer garden seating that has more atmosphere than inside the bistro.

Sadly one of the most disappointing meals I have ever had.
Ordered the chicken special and rice, blood in the chicken and rice so gluggy makes you wonder how old and how many times through the microwave.
Steak so old and tough bent steel on dentures .
Overall I would not recommend this food to anyone 😒

Never paid extra for a salad with my meal before this pub and then for it to come to me on a plate in way over sized portions and no dressing what so ever was disappointing and a well done steak we orderd was cooked into leather.
Other than those few things the prices where great.

My drink was ok, my wife left her wine. Her mixed grill ok, my rump steak was inedible. Steak, chips &gravy $8, vegetables $6.00. A good helping of mashed potato, a very thin slice of corn, about 6 beans and 3 or 4 slices of carrot.
Worst steak I can recall.

Meals are still great value for money. My go to for lunch is their salad bar. Great friendly service as well.

Located very close to the train station and has plenty of parking available. The bistro menu is excellent and has some very good specials at very good prices. Bang for buck at this place.. The front corner bar is for the locals and has music on Sunday afternoons. The bistro has a salad buffet that is very tasty and healthy. This is a very good pub with very good food. You certainly will not be disappointed.

It's a great place for a meal, had a few hits and misses but management makes sure to improve for next time which is always a bonus and makes sure to follow up with you on next vist.

Guy behind the bar very nice and helpful. Food fairly stolid and dry. Roast pork also dry. Gravy straight from the can. Vegetable were nursing home quality. Best part of the lamb chops was the crumbed crust.

Great little pub parking in the rear and out front. Pool table pokies bistro. Karaoke Friday nights, clean and tidy staff are great

Great food and service together with very friendly staff. Made my friend whose birthday it was, feel special & went above and beyond to locate a precious ring I had misplaced there. I cannot put into words how much I appreciated this.

Come here to have a meal with the family regularly and the meals are great, and always excellent friendly service from the bar to the bistro and excellent service from Toni the waitress thank you are amazing 🤩

Came to celebrate a family birthday. Pleased with the friendly service. Dinner was very tasty. Servings large and prices not over the top. We got there around 6pm & ordered early. It was Trivia Night, but we didn't find that a problem and there is plenty of room away from the Trivia crowd if you want

20 bucks got 3 lamb chops and few chips.. if wanted salad cost extra..hubby got roast which was fatty..
Friendly staff and great people though
Front bar good atmosphere.. great place to drink ,not so flash when I tried eating...
